Headphones on, turn it up loud! I`ve loved this mix since it first appeared. The intro alone is priceless, the track at 14 mins is jawdroppingly beautiful. The whole set has something for everyone, always sounds fresh, and always makes me smile,..wicked!

An absolute peach of a mix, very like Trade Vol 1,...and then it just keeps on going!.. A proper banger! Absolutely wicked,,,all it says on the tape is Tony de Vit  Live mix  Nov 95 [it`s definitely live, in a club] I haven`t pitched it up or down, it`s exactly as it plays on the tape. Turn it right up and annoy the neighbours. It`s extremely rare, download it, share it, enjoy it!  All I ask is that it`s not to be "re-mastered" and sold on ebay etc, capiche? [I have marked both sides btw lol] In my view, all rights belong to the de Vit family.

Tony de Vit Live in Ibiza 97 pt 2

A beautiful slice of history, and a permanent reminder of just how good Pete Wardman and Trade was [and still is] He brought it down at the start, then after nearly 12 hours on the floor, with the sweat pouring off us, the set went into orbit and finished with TdV [doubled up!] at over 165bpm The phazeing [flangeing?] isn`t post production, it was done on the night. Still, to this day, the most intense musical experience I`ve ever had. It`s a 17 year old tape, forgive the gaps for the ad-breaks taken out, worse still the ones left in but what can you do? Just enjoy it and remember the good times, that`s what!!....Absolutely incredible,..a thing of beauty is a joy forever. [Keats]

This is it, this is the one piece of music that totally altered my life and how I view music. It opened my ears to dance music, and most of all Tony de Vit`s music for which I am forever grateful. It lead to moments of musical bliss I can`t even begin to describe, in places an ordinary spud from Ireland [me] wouldn`t have found in a million years. I`m so glad I did. Headphones on, turn it up loud and enjoy, it really is beautiful.

Forgot how brilliant this set is. It`s prob about late 95, It has absolutely everything in it but it also has elements of Tony`s previous sound and the future sound too. Incredible mixing, it`s definitely one for the headphones, LOUD, your ears will love you forever. There`s a point where you`ll say wow, there`s a point where you`ll say `kin`ell, but there`s a point where you just have to get up and dance. An amazing set,..... two parts so make sure you do both

Xmas 97 live at Trade. Please excuse the partition and the gaps where the ads used to be but there are moments of beauty in this set that only Pete Wardman can do. You`ll know them when you hear them. Features a rare tune by TdV put in the best setting possible, see if you can spot it... It`s in 3 parts,..don`t ask,..just listen to all 3. I wish I`d known,.I wouldn`t have chopped the ad bits out at the time,....honestly!  It`s still worth keeping for posterity though.

Another DJ I really admire, her sets at Trade were sublime. Some great tracks on here, the mixing wanders a little in places but she catches them time. A nice piece of history nontheless. Her Trade sets were faultless and tight as anything. I really wish she was still playing as a lot of the current hard NRG would really suit her. As always, there are 2 sides so play both. EJ Doubell  Fist  30-9-95 Pt2

Any info would be greatly appreciated, all it says on the tape is 4am and 8am. A couple of Trade babies used to regularly get tapes from the people at Trade as they were connected, this one came via EJ Doubell. Judging by the tunes, I`m thinking early to mid 94. Some real crackers on here and originals that went on to be sampled as future classics. A great set, very indicative of her style at the time, you don`t need me to explain, just listen properly. Hard dance, techno and hard trance, that`s it, no flannel, no bounce, no trance, no fucking around. Definitely one for the purists but if you`re not one, there are lots of clues as to where later tunes came from. A storming set actually! Early 95. A nice slow burner of a set, really nice subtle tunes, rolls along nicely. Blu Peter was probably on next so she kept the handbrake on. Either that or it was the early part of a much longer set [poss what 1-330 means] Lots of tracks you`ve completely forgotten about. Many thanks to Barry Williams for the tape. N.B. It`s in 4 parts [double tape pack] Give it about 10 seconds and each part will load automatically. A really wicked set, absolutely live, from about late 97. Very chunky and funky, he doesn`t go bonkers, just gradually builds up the energy. An absolute masterclass in set progression and getting the most out of fairly low BPMs without having to bosh it. Every tune is a Trade tune from about that time, lots of his own remixes as well. Turn it right up or use headphones, the crowd sounds will really make you smile, especially the calls for the last tune. Many, many thanks to Claire Lancaster for the tapes, she was there!! If her memory is correct, it was at Godskitchen, Sanctuary, MK. The only thing that matters is that someone recorded it,..enjoy,..LOUD!!!!

You definitely wouldn`t have heard this before, only 45 mins, this is proper rare, nice and early, from about late 94 /early 95. [Correction, the cognicenti have put it early / mid 93!] Second half of one of Tony`s sets. It`s definitely Tony as Ian M has verified it. [I thought it was Ian as it was so tough] He said that Tony was the only one with the balls to play No Women Allowed in Trade at that time lol. Out of the recent batch of Peter`s FF tapes, this set, for me, is my favourite. Nicely off the beaten track once again but also with a slightly harder edge than normal. Perfect! He`ll probably disagree as he`s stuck in 94 lol  I think it really flows and has a great sense of purpose and extra energy to it. Many thanks to Barry Williams for the tape. Extremely rare, any info on it would be greatfully appreciated. Recorded off the radio, believed to be done in advance of Trade`s 11th Birthday in 2001. The tunes are more indicative of the hard trance that was around at the time rather than the harder sounds Emma was more reknowned for. Nicely mixed, really well programmed and some nice human touches on it that show that it wasn`t done on a sequencer. Lovely, thanks Emma! Thanks a million to Jamie Haig for sharing a wicked part of our musical heritage, another part of the rich tapestry, another piece of the puzzle. Thanks also to my son Daniel for sellotaping what was 11 seperate sound files together. Try as I might, I can`t find the joins, there aren`t any!  

EJ Doubell  The Trade Experience  2001

Recorded in Ibiza in 97, a cracking set, absolutely fantastic tunes, the programming and mixing is just amazing. It`s such a shame it`s so short, I so wanted it to fill the full tape but Tony signs off with "I don`t care" 8 mins in to part 2 and hands over to another DJ. He plays some great tunes too, I thought it may be Ian M but it isn`t. Definitely worth a listen though! The full TdV set can be heard on TdV Live in Ibiza 97. A wicked mix. lots of favourites, lots of Trade tunes, brilliant! I have zero info on it, absolutely nothing apart from it saying 1996. If anybody knows where the club was, it would be much appreciated. You`ll get the same impression that I did, I think I`ve heard this one, then a different tune comes in and you realise, ohh, this is a rare one! Just enjoy it!

Well, this is as rare as it gets. Probably early to mid 95. Definitely him, definitely live at Trade, short and sweet, the second half of his 90 min set. Loads of favourites and lots of ones you wouldn`t expect, some really nice surprises. Apologies for the sound quality, my normal service is playing up so I had to do it straight off the tape. Don`t worry, in time, I`ll fix it, clean it right up, boost all the levels and pitch it back down to normal. It`s still a lovely find, an uncut gem, a diamond in the rough. Listen to this! Once again, as rare as a very rare thing, definitely him, definitely live at Trade. Early to mid 95, some wicked choices and combinations, proper quality! Again, only 45 mins long, the second half of his set, but still a beautiful find [I`ll boost the sound in a couple of weeks and replace the file] Think about what he would have been playing up and down the country all weekend and to then turn up at Trade and just let rip, no wonder he said that he had a record box purely for the ones he was going to play at Trade. A really nice set, very Pagano. Goes up through the gears very smoothly with a nice chunky groove and a couple of proper rush moments too. Some lovely inclusions like the Give me love remix and Pagano feat. Stewart Who?, Back to the Future. A perfect reminder of the middle of the night Trade sound that he did so well. Enjoy it, it`s extremely rare!
