This remix also includes clips from comedian David Cross' reading from the book, "In Search Of Goodpussy." Hey, I can't hang with the big dogs with the production, so I might as well have fun.

This is a remix I did with some vocals that were part of an AcidPlanet contest. I think this is the very first time I attempted a remix.

Beastie Boys - Alive Remix (2000 I think)

I gotta give Lo a lot of props. I made beats as a hobby for years and pretty much gave it up when when I went back to school and started a career. I met Lo around 2009 and he heard some of my stuff and asked to spit on 'em. I said, "have at it." He made this, Sunday, and Jedi Mind Trix from those MP3s I gave him. This beat was actually made by a cat from LA named Battle Skars. I don't remember how we connected, but I think it was AcidPlanet. Dude sent us a bunch of bangers for the boys to record on. Good times.

I think this might be one one of the first few tracks they recorded over my crib.

The Ave -- The Hardest Times (2002)

This is another track I completely forgot about. But once I heard it, I immediately remembered when we recorded it. I have no clue where I got this sample, but I think this is a sped up record. Back when everybody was speeding up samples trying to copy Kanye. I think I did a decent job chopping it up tho. This track features Paul(Saul) and a cat named Lord Terror. He was in the Army and he only recorded one track and I think he got deployed to Germany or something. Fuck if I know. But he did have one of my favorite bars - "You can kiss my ass like my draws made of mistletoe.... nigguh" lol

The Ave -- Like Me (2003ish)

This beat was made for someone who wanted to do a track about beatin some cheeks. The track never got made but I still dug the beat

This was probably the first track I made that got me a little attention. Mav always had bars and I think this was a case of things aligning while we were recording for a pretty good track. Back then, I mixed the song with waaaaay too much bass. So before posting this, I finally dropped the bass to a reasonable level.

MavLo -- This Is Life (2000 or 2001)

This is another one of the first tracks recorded at my house. I'm pretty sure Emil was a freshman in college when this was made.

Emiliano Stylez - Hot Ice (1999 or 2000)

Qua used to bring his brother by to record tracks of his own.  And I used to love this track.  I made the beat in Mixman Studio (yeah, that's old)

QuaZay was the first person I started making tracks with. (Full story in the description to "Don't Step To Us.")

I think this was the first beat I made that I actually fell in love with. Like, I would listen to it and think, "I made this shit? Wow." The instrumental was lost a long time ago.

Fun Fact: Qua had brought some girls by the crib to hang out while we recorded. They were looking through some Vibe magazines I had laying around and were commenting on the guys they saw. I noticed, and moved the mic to pick up their audio. One of the girls noticed and improved the "I like Marqua better... Marqua is tight" line.

Qua'Zay - Lovely (2000)

From 1999 to about 2005, I made beats and recorded songs at my house in Akron, Ohio as a hobby. I was never really interested in perusing music as a career and I didn't really have "platinum dreams" -- it was just something I did for fun. (Besides, there are a whole-ass lot of people better than me at this) But it was a big help for me since I was pretty much a hermit at that time of my life and it helped me stay creative. But once I was close to finishing college and starting a career, I pretty much gave it up because it was so time consuming. But over those years I recorded A LOT of stuff for folks. AND I NEVER CHARGED ANYONE A PENNY. I  really only did it because I enjoyed it.
