Iron Man 2 (Epic Emotional Fan-Made Soundtrack)

Ennio Morricone has always been one of my favourite composers of all time. I'll never forget the moment when I listened to his music for the first time, watching "Once Upon a Time in the West". Since that moment, I've tried to play "Jill's theme" and "Man with a Harmonica" on the piano at least once every week. Just a few days ago, I saw "the Untouchables" in the cinema and nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw his name during the opening credits. In the days before his death, I listened to as many of his soundtracks as I could find, and when I read that he died, I knew that I had to arrange this cover.
I have never written an epic cover because I thought it would improve the existing music - it never does. The reason that I write these covers is because they are the best way I know to honor the music that I love. His music - especially "Once Upon a Time in the West" is perfect, and my arrangements will never even come close to it. But when I wrote this, I listened to his music closely, analyzed it and it gave me the possibility to appreciate his genius in an entirely different way.
If you believe that his music is sacred or untouchable, I can understand you. Perhaps what I'm doing is even blasphemous in your eyes. I understand this; there are moments where I feel the same. But, please know, my intention never was to criticize or make fun of his music. The only reason I wrote this was because I love his music - every second of it - and wanted to be a part of it, as cheesy as this may sound.


R.I.P. Ennio Morricone - You truly were one of the greatest and most beloved composers on this entire planet.

While not super recognizable, I've always loved Patrick Doyle's rousing theme for Thor. It is majestic and emotional at the same time; truly one of the most wonderful themes in the entire MCU.
