The song is reflective of the socio-economic reality we have come to live in. A society that is technologically advanced for the most part (Type 0 see Kardashev scale and Michio Kaku on civilizations)but hurtles on with a misaligned global value system frozen in the neolithic age. It cuts away the intellectualized approach you would expect from an academic lecture and deliberately grounds itself in a seemingly unrelated incongruent rhetoric hinged on the abstract and fantastical (use less adjectives). This comes from the realization that cerebral interactions with listeners are counter intuitive, because the science behind listening to music suggests that there is a lucid internalization of ideas. This means that mathematical or highly scientific stimuli fail to be internalized because they are too bulky to permeate through the membrane that is responsible for forming an understanding. Excuse the crude analogy. What I have done here is thrown concepts such as structural violence, environmental holocaust, the psycho-social tension of occupying the lower tier of a wealth imbalanced society, distorted family models, organized religion pathology, detrimental formal education, free market (free for all)tyranny into a readily consumable blend. Some of you will not know what these concepts are and the song does a poor job at elucidating them but your curiosity is peaking, if only to open a tab in your browser and type the search string "structural violence". This simply act will lead you to discover your activist spirit and just like that my job will be done. This is suggestibility, the art of planting ideas in people's heads. It is only unethical when the designer and the listener do not want the same thing. We all want a better world. Disclosing my intentions like this also renders any surreptitious methods ineffective. Decentralization is the most efficient methodology of sustainable design and the revolution needs to be sustained. ZFT is as an emergent group of the Zeitgeist movement that seeks to socialize people to the idea of a technological utopia or a technological apocalypse that will create the necessary conditions for such a utopia to exist. This song catalogs the penmanship of each of the members and projects an insightful montage based on how they feel about their individual success and struggles with art. The song was exclusively released on one of SA's biggest sub-culture blogs Cheka.co.za. The beat was produced by Maloon and recorded by Blue Chilli entertainment for Mark's "Life & Times of Jimmy Fatchild" and Alithatdudes currently untitled mixedtape.
