The festival of Samhain is once again upon us and CHP Recordings is proud to share this very special third edition of Samhain Sessions with you. Our yearly tradition of fusing our shared passion for all things horror with our life long missions of creating original electronics lives on strong with Samhain III . We also tip our hats to the third (and best edition of the Halloween series…I said what I said) by taking a slight deviation in the naming convention and design theme. But most importantly, this tradition also includes giving back to the fans that support our music all year round as all the Samhain Sessions will ALWAYS be free during the month of October on the CHP Bandcamp page exclusively. He pulls from UK bass music’s golden era, stripping it down and fusing it with a jagged electro aesthetic. ‘This and That’ is a whirlwind primed with gravely hats and scattered breakbeats, while on the flip, ‘Leyton Lorikeet’ rides a more melodic groove, a percussive headbanger packing a snare that snaps like a whip across the floor.

Info: Parallax explores the shifting boundary between human intuition and algorithmic logic, a space where two perspectives converge and blur until the center is lost. Composed through a hybrid system of voltage-controlled hardware and digital manipulation, the five tracks apply FM synthesis, granular processing, and bit-level degradation to rigid electro structures. Sequences are shaped by modulation instability and clock drift, gradually disrupting pattern integrity and simulating a loss of systemic control. Precise yet disrupted grooves hint at a deeper malfunction, as if something is corrupting the system from within. Parallax is the gap between the human who creates and the algorithm that imitates.
