Recorded in Fort Wayne, in my friend Jeff McDonald's basement using Band-In-A-Box. Had the lyrics for a while and Jeff said I should do something with it so, this is what I did with it. I chose the tune, sat down at the mic, and Jeff did the recording and mixing.
 I reckon this is just a song about not being able to control some things in life. Stuff happens.

Speed Bump

My wife and I had planned to travel together to our friends in Fort Wayne. I was heading there for a recording session, and as it turned out she was unable to go with me. Our friends called to ask when WE would arrive, and I told them that WE had become JUST ME. I decided to play with that line and this is what I came up with.

Inspired by the Everly Brothers' ''(Till) I Kissed You"...uh, huh. Recorded in Jeff McDonald's basement, in Fort Wayne. Don't pay real close attention to the man behind the lead guitar (me). I knew what I wanted, but I think I probably should have call in a pro.

I was talking to someone about a rumor going around and I said, "There's word on the street I've heard the grapevine repeat"...Now, how can you not use that line in a song? I was attempting to be clever with the title...The Mill on Rue Morr?  That would be the Rue Morr Mill, or Rumor Mill. Sorry. Not Sorry.
