This mix is taken from a CD given away for Remedy's 6th birthday in 2002. 

Remedy was a Techno & House night based in Sheffield, England that ran from 1996 to 2003 and had guests ranging from Carl Craig to Dave Clarke, Cari Lekebusch to Derrick Carter & Slam to Stacey Pullen. Justin Robertson joined us as a  resident in 2001. 

I wanted to do a mix that summed up where remedy was at, with a little bit of a nod to where it was coming from as well. But obviously that was impossible in under 36 minutes, so here's what I did anyway!

"Death Disco" (Oct 2012CE)

I stumbled into DJing in 1994 after several years clubbing and playing in bands. Pretty soon this lead to playing alongside the likes of Aphex Twin, Autechre, Jeff Mills, Surgeon, Carl Craig, Dave Clarke, Marshall Jefferson, David Holmes, Slam, Justin Robertson, Derrick Carter, Stacey Pullen etc. and more recently Andrew Weatherall and Black Dog.  

From the mid-90s I was a resident for Sheffield's seminal Remedy night until its close in 2003, as well as also playing for a Sound system at many warehouse parties and free parties. I played at venues such as Sankey's Soap (Manchester), Turnmills (London) & legendary nights such as NY Sushi (Sheffield) as well as residencies at Sheffield's Republic, Bed/Music Factory & The Arches.
