Great idea and samples of jung here👌Love the intro. To be honest not sure about the beats, though I get the symbolic meaning. Maybe a drumless version would be cool?

Beyond the train and tracks there is water, the St-Laurent river, on the other side of which there is an amusement park, sometimes called fairground, on a small island.  This was Summer so the park was opened and active, you can hear roller coaster people screaming, as if echoing the train's voice at the end of the recording.

I got lucky on this one, I was riding my bike and I heard it, and was able to quickly setup my machine which I sometimes carry in my backpack exactly for this type of

ON|RUST as it appears here on soundcloud is the first stage of a small project that is actually called O|N|RUST consists of this track, plus a Bandcamp version (January 2024 - supplemented with two short pieces for percussion and electronics) and a 2024 small scale vinyl release. I've built a number of rhythmic sound machines especially for this piece which mainly consists of the hum and interference of electrical equipment supplemented with an electric guitar drone. Mastered by Rupert Clervaux.

Time and thought are the two variables that influence fear in our brains. Time is the interval between the present and the future, where we anticipate potential threats and challenges. Thought is the cognitive process that we use to simulate the possible outcomes and scenarios that may occur. But both time and thought are not objective phenomena in themselves. They are only mental representations that we use to interact with the world. The source of fear is the dependence on these representations, and the assumption that they are more relevant than the empirical evidence of the present moment. To reduce fear, we need to regulate time and thought, and align with the current state, where all is stable and calm. This is the goal of scientific rationality, to live in the present, and to rely on the empirical data.
