Feel it! 2024

Inspired by a particularly emotional sequence during an episode of Rick & Morty, I took to my DAW to lay down my own version of the background music and took the liberty of adding 2+ minutes of vaporwave / dance track to the end.  My interpolation of the "Sad Rick BackStory" music. Only in my version, he finds and kills the s##t out of Evil Rick and Evil Morty. Enjoy....      

P.S. I would absolutely love to score a sci-fi space themed movie or animation project one day. If you're making one, hit me up. ;)

I use a Behringer Crave, a TD3 and two Korg Volca Sample and Keys to create this song. One of my favorite tricks is to use the CV output of the TD3 to control the filter of the Crave. CV stands for control voltage, and it is a way of sending signals between different devices. It allows me to change the sound of the Crave with the TD3

Jung believed that death is not the end, but a transition to a new state of being. He also thought that we can find meaning in life by exploring our unconscious and discovering our true self. I'm fascinated by his ideas that inspired me for this song.

As you can see, my entry was unfortunately not among the winners. But I had a lot of fun and the words of appreciation from Anna, Kasique and lost.empathy were reward enough.
