Stockholm duo “Avancera”, consisting of Dorisburg and Kalawila, explores the void with their debut EP. Over five releases, Stockholm label Mountain Explosion Device had made its intentions clear—to release the absolute best in subtly morphing, psychedelic techno. Its sixth release is no different. The A-side displays rogue frequencies seeping through an ominous office building, as fully automated cleaning bots pass each other through revolving doors. “Skogenräna” adds an addictive percussion-based venture into the feral forests of their native Sweden. The remix comes courtesy of Berlin based
wonderchild Mor Elian. A mind bending desert trip from one of the most exciting producers out there.

For many years he was the unmistakable "Electro King of the South the Netherlands", he was a big inspiration for many dj's, producers and youngsters, by organizing lots of events, giving room for new talent and giving workshops. He runs Recordstore Tunesville, nowadays no longer a physical store but merely on Discogs . DJ Zaxxon was the first organizer who invited me to play in venues, for which I am ever thankful. Later I was also able to return the favor to invite Zaxxon on many events I organized; I do remember one NYE where we asked him to play at 10.00 a.m. - good(morning) times ! Thirty-nine years ago, the Roland Corporation had an idea. What if ya replaced your bassist with a machine? Short Circuit 2? No. The result, the TB-303. Fix it up with your TR-606 drum machine and ya could be your very own band! Who needs others to sooth the loneliness, eh?

Roland’s little silver machine was a failure. What came out of it didn’t sound like the smooth strumming of a bass guitar, it sounded like liquid tin poured across a xylophone. From such failings came something else, a movement and sound that might be tipping forty but is still full of vitality and verve: acid.

The history of the TB-303 is well known and here at WE FORFEIT we’ve tried to tell it in records. From the first acid house records of Chicago to perhaps the first use of a TB-303 on an album, the lads are tripping down a squelchy lane.

Brutality and brilliance abound as the molten messiness of the acid box is put through its paces, from expert knob twiddlers like AFX and Mike Dred to modern day noodlers like Kettel and EOD.

Chris gives ya a full hour of acrid assortments and sour selections that will leave teeth rattling and neighbours twitching curtains.
