Explanation of the 2nd Hadīth - The Hadīth of Jibrīl:
From ʿUmar (raḍiyallāhu anhu) who said: "Whilst we were sitting with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam) one day, there came upon us a man whose clothes were intensely white and whose hair was intensely black. No sign of journey was visible on him and none of us knew him. He came and sat down by the Prophet (ṣallAllāhu ʿalayhi wasallam), placing his knees by his (the Prophet's) knees and placed his hands on his thighs. He said, "O Muḥammad, inform me about Islām." The Messenger of Allāh said, "Islām is to bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allāh and Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh, to establish the prayer, to pay the zakāh, to fast in Ramaḍān and to make pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so." He (the man) said, "You have spoken truthfully," and we were amazed at his asking him and confirming he spoke truthfully. He said, "Then inform me about īmān." He said, "Īmān is to believe in Allāh, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in the Divine Decree (and foreknowledge)." He said, "You have spoken truthfully." He said, "Then tell me about īḥsān." He said, "It is to worship Allāh as if you can see Him, and even though you cannot see Him, He most certainly sees you." He said, "Then inform me of the Hour." He said, "The one being questioned about it is no more knowledgeable of it than the questioner." He said, "Then inform me of its signs." He said, "That the slave-girl will give birth to her own mistress and that you will see the barefooted, naked, destitute herdsmen competing in constucting lofty buildings." Then the man left and I stayed for a while. Then he (the Messenger) said, "O ʿUmar, do you know who the questioner was?" I said, "Allāh and His Messenger know best." He said, "That was Jibrīl, he came to teach you your religion." [Related by Muslim]

Explanation of the 4th Hadīth - The Stages of Creation:
From ʿAbd Allāh bin Masʿūd (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu alayhi wasallam) narrated to us, and he is the truthful, the believed, "Verily, the creation of one of you is brought together in his mother's womb over forty days as a nuṭfah, then he is an ʿalaqah for a like period. Then he is a muḍghah for a like period. Then an angel is sent to it and it breathes the spirit into it and is commanded with four words: the writing of its sustenance, its lifespan, its deeds, and whether happy or wretched (in the Hereafter). By Allāh besides whom there is none worthy of worship, one of you works the deeds of the people of Paradise until there does not remain between him and it but an arm's length and then (what is written in) the Book overtakes him and he does the deeds of the people of the Fire and thus enters it. And one of you works the deeds of the people of Hellfire until there does not remain between him and it but an arm's length and then (what is written in) the Book overtakes him and he does the deeds of the people of Paradise and thus enters it." I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu alayhi wasallam) saying, "That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear and between the two are ambiguous matters which many people do not know of. So whoever took caution regarding the ambiguous matters has absolved himself regarding his religion and his honour. And whoever fell into the doubtful matters has fallen into the unlawful, just like the shepherd who grazes his flock around the sanctuary (of a king), all but grazing therein. Indeed, every king has a sanctuary (that cannot be violated) and indeed the sanctuary of Allāh is his prohibitions. Indeed, there is a morsel of flesh in the body which if it is sound the whole body is sound and which if it is corrupt the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart."

From Abū Hurayrah ʿAbd al-Raḥmān bin Ṣakhr (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam) saying, "What I have forbidden you from then avoid it all, and whatever I have ordered you with then act upon as much of it as you are able, for verily, that which destroyed those who came before you was their abundant questioning and differing with their Prophets."

From Ibn ʿUmar (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhumā) who said that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam) said, "I have been ordered to fight the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped (in truth) but Allāh and that Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh, and (until) they establish the prayer and give the zakāh. So if they do that, their blood and wealth is safeguarded from me, unless it pertains to a right of Islām, and their reckoning is with Allāh."

From Abū Hurayrah (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam) said, "Verily Allāh is tayyib (good, pure) and does not accept but that which is ṭayyib, and Allāh commanded the Believers that which He commanded the Messengers, so He, the Exalted said, "O Messengers, eat of the good and wholesome and work righteous deeds", and the Exalted said, "O you who believe, eat of the good and wholesome things we have provided you with." Then he mentioned (the case) of a man on a long journey with dishevelled hair, covered with dust, raising his hands to the sky, (saying), 'O Lord, O Lord...' yet his food is (from and with the) unlawful, his drink is (from and with the) unlawful, his clothing is (from and with) the unlawful and his nourishment is (from and with the) unlawful, so how will he be answered?"
