Old friend

Here is a sample track from my upcoming release. The tune features nylon and steel string guitars with hand percussion and bass. It was recorded and mix in my home with Sonar Platinum.  This is an original composition. I played the guitar and bass parts and programmed the percussion. Percussion libraries include Djembe and Cajon sounds from the Evolution Series Sample Library.

About this piece: After I mentioned the concept behind this composition to my friend and fellow guitarist Dan Sistos, he did not hesitate when I asked him to join me on it. We had a blast! Thanks to Bo Astrup for mixing what ended up being a more challenging piece than originally conceived. Mark is a professional Spanish guitarist based in the South West of England. With over 30 years of experience of live performances, his repertoire combines Latin, contemporary and Flamenco guitar. 

He has also distinguished himself as a composer and recording artist and is currently working on his 5th solo CD, "Mandala", collaborating with some superb musicians from around the world.
