A piece for soprano saxophone and poly-duduk (an instrument created by Australian musician and instrument maker, Linsey Pollak and Spaniard, Xavier Lozano). Grace also features marimba and double bass. The poly-duduk played on this track features a double reed (Lozano's idea)made by flattening a the end of a piece of black polypipe, creating what is effectively a large double reed, similar to that of the traditional Armenian duduk. The resulting sound/timbre is also similar to the original duduk. My melody is accompanied by a subtly repetitive 6/8 bass figure, the simple implied harmony inspired by French tubist, Michel Goddard.
