pMad new single ‘Fire’ opens with his signature bassline, setting the tone for what's to come. The vocals kick in, accompanied by pounding drums, electrifying guitars, incredible synths that create a banging anthem that pulls the listeners into the heart of the song.

Our planet is on ‘Fire’, do we have the time and the will to save it?  Will those with the Power and the Money be willing to sacrifice their profits or will they wait until they can make a new fortune in telling us they saved us?

This is the first recording of my original song “Easy Going” which was written in March 2024. In terms of the production it’s deliberately arranged to bring back memories of mid-90s Britpop tracks from bands such as Oasis, Cast, Suede, maybe even Manson and the excellent Longpigs.

If I’m honest this is a song about the regrets of getting older and how quickly time flies. I’m almost certainly over halfway through my expected lifespan. More and more I get a real sense of the idea that with some things, I can just never go back to them. I look back at my mid-20s and I can NOW see that this was a fantastic period of freedom and pleasure, and that at the time I just did not notice. I guess that’s all part of growing up.

The Britpop style of the track is entirely deliberate because that thrilling period of British music directly coincided with my mid-20s and hence the whole song is based around that time, both in subject matter and style. That period of my life took place in Leamington Spa, where I lived at the time.

The song was written and recorded at my current home in Penarth, near Cardiff in South Wales.
