Having just released his long-awaited third studio album earlier this autumn, electronic outfit Ishi have now returned to unveil a new remix. Ishi is teaming up with Kraak & Smaak for a remix of Pro's & Con's; adding their distinctive sound; a blend of disco, funk, electronic and house.

Dutch producers, DJ’s and live act Kraak & Smaak have built up a jaw-dropping track record since their first EP dropped in the early 00s: five studio albums, four remix albums and an amazingly long string of singles and remixes (from Jamiroquai to Solomun) on labels such as Jalapeno Records, Exploited, Razor ’n Tape, Future Disco, Toolroom and Spinnin’. Their highly original and distinctive sound, consisting of a blend of disco, funk, electronic and house, has brought their dj sets and the live band to all corners of the world and on festivals such as Glastonbury, SXSW, Exit and Coachella.

Fans have been waiting eight long years for the new album 'Sweet Gold' which just dropped on Swedish Indie Label Icons Creating Evil Art, the home of Flora Cash, Summer Heart, and Glamour Hammer. It features the hit singles ‘Not My Girl’ and ‘Lo-Fi Love Affair’ and the album's focus track 'Pro's & Con's'. Following the successful release of the Yuksek remix of 'Not My Girl' (supported by the likes of A-Trak, Kiss FM, Ministry of Sound, Amazing Radio etc.) and a remix collaboration with the internationally acclaimed EDM-producer Oliver Nelson, and working with CAPYAC this summer for their  ‘Goody Goody (Capyac's Good Mix)’, Ishi has successfully proven that collaborating and releasing remixes works really well for his music.

Hi, I'm a keys player and I like making up grooves to existing jazz and latin standards. Over the last few years I've been mainly working on original numbers.

It's just me in the music you hear, I play all the parts off a keyboard recording in midi and layer up into the finished version.

I started playing the piano as a kid , then took up the trombone and played for fun in various local amateur bands and orchestras. Then at 18 went to college and didn't do anything  musically  for many years. Started playing the saxophone and tuba more recently, and in the last four years or so got back into the keyboard which is now my main instrument.

I like making up jazzy  late night music & music you can listen to when travelling. Sounds like a strange thing but I find the most enjoyable part of a holiday is the travelling part, whether that's on a plane , train or even a car on a quiet road with some nice views. Looking through a window with a changing view, in a bubble of suspended time between two worlds, that's what travelling feels like to me, and I like to write music that sounds that way - http://soundcloud.com/markd54321/361-stolen-moments-320kbps .
