Live Set BURNING MAN 2023 - META DRAGON with CARO LEGER

Morning Parade were an English five-piece alternative rock band from Harlow, Essex that formed in 2007 before signing with Parlophone in 2010. Its self-titled debut album was released early in 2012. 

Through a chance encounter I found myself pitching this remix for a release via a contact I had made at Warner/EMI. Production was heavily influenced by the Gabriel & Dresden sounds of the late 2010s & although never officially released - the lyrics in this still resonate today.  

"Tongue-tied, staring at the ceiling all night,

You just woke up in the middle of nowhere. Your head hurts, but you just remembered there is one pair of fresh socks left. The tent smells like a Gypsy's kiss. As you unzip the door to your bohemian boudoir, the hustle and bustle of the slowest, most efficient camp on the playa - Preservation Society's Snail Crew and Lucy's Ark - comes to life. Yesterday seemed like a lifetime ago. As it says in the book of Lucy:

The Lord commanded Piotr to build an ark in which his family and “every living thing of all flesh” (Lucy 6:19) were saved from the Flood. Floodwater from the Animalia destroyed the wicked and all creatures that lived on the land except those in the ark. When the floodwater receded, Piotr and his family exited the ark. It's amazing to see what people will do for love. 🖤

Unofficial Remix I did waaaaaay back when.  Can't even remember the date but sometime around 2008 I think.   Original was released in 1994 (catalog no. HHED 003; Vinyl 12" and instantly became one of my favourite records as I began to fall in love with trance music. Hope I did it justice 🙏🏼

Had so many people asking me to make it available - and somehow managed to find it hidden away on an old HDD.  This is an old production so it's definitely in need of mixdown and mastering - but was as good as I could make then, WHAT A CHOON!

Originally from the U.K., Mark Eteson has been DJing since 1999, touring for over a decade in the golden era of trance, producing and releasing music on esteemed labels such as Anjunabeats, Armada and Garuda, collaborating with legends such as Above & Beyond and Paul van Dyk. 

In 2013, Eteson decided to make a move to the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas, after signing an exclusive residency with Hakkasan Nightclub. As the music industry in Las Vegas soared to new heights, so did Eteson, constantly evolving to the changing preferences of the audience and their thirst for new content.

In December 2020, he embarked on his most ambitious project yet, HOUSE of LEAVES — an immersive live-music experience that spins a fresh nightlife narrative. In partnership with Bluebird Wood Enterprises, Eteson stepped into the world of music-event production, taking an innovative approach, fusing art and theater from concept to creation: YOU are part of the story as the music guides you through some of the most unique venues in the World.

In Oct 2024, Eteson launched a concept of 5 years in the making, 'THE STORY of EVERYTHING'; a visual odyssey through the history of the Universe and consciousness, described by Gareth Emery as 'Planet Earth on steroids'. Premiered in the Palms Casino IMAX theatre, the hybrid movie has won 2 film festival Laurels, and featured a Dolby Atmos soundtrack with a 90-min score, performed live by Mark.  The Future is Now.
