Reading this conversation and listening to it again now... so many distinctions to ponder and taste more. The sense that spells and stories come through the same change room... Leaves me wondering also about how to "serve" a story in the way that honours stories as Stephen mentions, not twisting them into a spell nor an ulterior motive. Writing a novel this year has been a lesson in midwifing a story... letting the characters live their own lives and allowing the story to be revealed, as the author surrendering control and even a moral compass over just birthing the babe that has been gestating and comes through. Funny how when I started, I had an idea or premise and a hope the tale would reach men particularly about the something of the heart's wisdom. And the heart started to take over and tell me the story that was actually there. This interview reminds me of how there is much mystery unfolding and a deeper presence afoot...  Will re-listen to this one many more times I imagine.

This Full Moon, intention was to cherish our inner world, strengthen our connection with Great Spirit and revealing the Truth, finding Love by directing our awareness to infinity of inward space.

I was not prepared as usual for playing this set yet there was deep sense of trust and detachment of outcome.
I find myself more brave in my momentary selections and even little reckless. I felt liberated as an artist to express freely what is alive.

I don't know that there's merit to employing the beast - the internet - to disturb having grown accustomed to the beast.

It wasn't eight years ago that city people would come to the School here on the farm and look at me concernedly when they found out the hard way that I, as it is said, 'had no service'. Two weeks ago the Bell guy was up a pole on the lane at the behest of an erstwhile air b/b landlord, to install - I would say 'impose' - some kind of higher speed version of the beast, to make this rural area attractive to people who want to get away from it all. There's bound to be a pretty stout demand for well appointed places to get away from it all in the wake of all this distancing.
Maybe this virus is a disturbance in the Fentanyl supply. Maybe the internet is the slickest methadone yet, keeping hale and hearty the mania for empty engagement, for the vacant calories of content.
I won't claim that there's loads of requests for more from me, on this or any other subject. There isn't.
I've never been on the other personal devices, or platforms, or anything else. Don't know how to activate them.

This is as compromised a move as I seem capable of, social media wise. Not very sophisticated, but earnest.
Here's an ad hoc meeting of the farm crew, issuing proof of what they're mindful of while forking hay and picking out the poison ivy roots and milking the ewes.
I did my best on short notice. We'd like something here to be useful to your ruminations, before the horn blows and your rumination time is cut short.

Tad Hargrave is a hippy who developed a knack for marketing (and then learned how to be a hippy again).

Despite years in the non-profit and activist world, he finally had to admit he was a marketing nerd and, in the end, he became a marketing coach for hippies. Maybe it was because he couldn’t stand seeing his hippy friends struggle to promote their amazing, green and holistic projects. Maybe it was because he couldn’t keep a 9-5 job to save his life.

Whatever the reason, for almost a decade, he has been touring his marketing workshops around Canada, bringing refreshing and unorthodox ideas to conscious entrepreneurs and green businesses that help them grow their organizations and businesses (without selling their souls).  He has also offered most of his workshops on a modified pay what you can basis (a small deposit to attend and then people choose the amount they want to pay at the very end).

This all feels like a minor miracle as Tad spent his early marketing days learning and applying some very inauthentic, high pressure, extremely gross and pushy marketing approaches. This has made him suuuuper allergic to these kinds of approaches because he discovered they made him feel slimy (even in personal friendships), he didn’t sleep well and he’s very sorry to all those people he spoke with back in the day. After a decade of unlearning and unpacking that whole scene – he now feels ready and able to help other people find ways to market that feel wonderful.
