Speakeasy Dedication

Best described as the sound of a wookie doing a tricky poo, the songs you are listening to are some rough demos recorded on a Tascam 4 Track studio along with a mic and an acoustic guitar. The ones with "Flyer" after them were recorded by my old band, Lenny And The Jets... ok not really....we were just called Flyer. Hence the name, Flyer. Not my idea. Anyway, this explains the exotic presence of...drums. These recordings are rough guides, musical doodles, and in my head the finished versions contain strings, choirs, a kazoo, a triangle (the big kind), Outhere Brothers samples, and possibly the sound of a man eating a thistle under the sea...and drums. Listening through earphones rather than speakers is recommended as my mixing isn't the best and you will miss out on some exciting errors. 

There was an occasion when me and Youngson were busking on Union Street for a homeless guy with his guitar (having just met John Hewitt no less. What a night.) We played Stepping Out and a few others. A crowd of people congregated and donated money and when we were done, one of the guys shouted as he walked away, "good songs... don't know about the singing!". I'll take that.
