The A Side contains classic joints and remixes from JSPR’s record collection. The B Side invites deeper into the treasure trove of rarities, radio freestyles and unreleased demos - immortalized by JSPR in the 90s, incl. recordings from The Stretch Armstrong Show in 1993 and The Hip Hop Spot in 1992 + more. 

*The B-side is exclusively available on the cassette release.

DJ JSPR aka Jesper Jensen traveled around New York throughout the 90s documenting the hip hop culture. He did interviews with some of the most legendary groups and personalities from this era and is also the man behind the documentary called Beat Diggin’ - starring Showbiz, Diamond D, Buckwild, Godfather Don og The Beatminerz.

When we got in touch with DJ JSPR and later discovered his archive of analog photos and radio tapes from his trips to NYC, we had only one mission - to bring these gems to light. Enjoy!

Hello there

My first and new Jungle mix The Art Of Raw is OUT!

Okay I’ll just write a short story about why this first Jungle mix of mine is only coming out now after a year. After a year...?! Yes that’s right, I was surprised too when I saw the date on the file. Anyway, it was because I didn’t like the sound of the mix. There was always something crackling and sizzling inside the mix and I didn’t like it. Then a friend @alunalisak and I found out it was inside one of the CDJs (some kind of short circuit). I don’t mind potatoes and various imperfections because I can fix it in seconds. Mostly I think it’s the imperfection that belongs to it and not being like a robot. Anyway, a few weeks back I recorded the same mix with the same track selection at @saym_southern_vision studio and now it’s out. There are a few mistakes, but fuck it and I’ll do another part soon. I hope you enjoy this mix because it’s a good selection of selected old and new tracks.
