On this episode of Liquid Assets, Jimmy Knees is joined by Blean,  a rising talent whose sound is making waves in the Liquid Drum & Bass scene. 

Blean’s music has been regularly featured on the show over the past couple of years. Known for his atmospheric beats and intricate soundscapes, he seamlessly blends soulful melodies with deep, rolling basslines, creating tracks that are both emotionally charged and full of rhythm.

Drawing influence from jazz, ambient, and downtempo, Blean strikes a balance between melodic beauty and technical precision. Each production is a sonic journey—immersive, detailed, and deeply expressive. His unique approach has earned him a loyal following and a solid reputation within the underground DnB community.

With releases on respected labels and an ever-growing catalogue of collaborations, including heavyweights like Etherwod & Harry Shotta, Blean continues to push the boundaries of what Liquid DnB can be.

Data B makes his full Codename: RCRDS debut with 'Deep Reflections EP', which provides a stunning showcase of this rising producers talents.

The EP opens with 'Elsewhere', a euphoric collaboration with label co-owner Moakz with spine-tingling pads and soaring leads entwined with rolling breaks and bass for a superb opener. The EP continues with the deep liquid roller 'Wakeup', full of crisp drums and chopped vocals, before moving into the glacial-tinged beauty of 'Change Your Mind'. This echoes the work of masters such as LSB with its introspective vocals, stunning strings and plucked guitars. The release then switches into another direction to close the EP for the crusty breaks and eerie vocals of the rolling 'Broken Window'.
