Odyssey should be seen either as an astronaut's voyage in outer space, exploring the sidereal lulls of Cosmos, or as a mind trip in the realm of human consciousness, after the soul has departed the body.
The first act, Spacemen, is a methaphorical interpretation of human existence, both physical and psychological, moving straight everywhere with no goal; speed is meant to give a meaning to life of men, despite without a clear vision it cannot lead to any destination.
The second act, Kurzschluß, describes the moment human personality reaches a different level, through doubt of his individuality, and start a deep ascending trip inside the potentialities of human consciousness; it should be seen also as the moment of transmigration, like a voyage in the dark and unknown areas of the reality beyond senses, exploring trascendence.
In the third act, Omega Nebula, human consciousness is already floating in higher heavens, lost in the skies over the illusion of materiality and meaningless; similarly as a spaceman losing all his human limits in the border of universe, the Swan Nebula, man by now should experience his real nature as a part of everything, connected to every atom of the creation, carrying inside the light of divinity, the cosmic child.
The final act, Ecstasy, illustrated the ascension of soul to the highest heaven, the source of every manifestation of the universe; through the communion with God, the primary and the only One being, hidden in every thing and present in everything, the inner light that guides Time through Eternity, human consciousness finds the meaning of its life and finally understands the Mystery.

Yamaloka is thought of as a labyrinthine journey into the occult meanders of the subtle worlds which the soul enters after physical death. The repetition and the eternal return of the same refrain, althought with variations, exasperates the samsaric character of the perennial transmigration.

The Liberation Through Hearing During The Intermediate State (Standard Tibetan: bardo "liminality"; thodol as "liberation"), sometimes translated as Liberation Through Hearing or transliterated as Bardo Thodol, is a funerary text. It is often referred to in the West by the more casual title, Tibetan Book of the Dead, a name which draws a parallel with the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, another funerary text.
The Tibetan text describes, and is intended to guide one through, the experiences that the consciousness has after death, during the interval between death and the next rebirth. This interval is known in Tibetan as the bardo. The text also includes chapters on the signs of death, and rituals to undertake when death is closing in, or has taken place. It is the most internationally famous and widespread work of Tibetan Nyingma literature.

In Greek mythology, Persephone, also called Kore, is the daughter of Zeus and the harvest-goddess Demeter, and queen of the underworld. Homer describes her as the formidable, venerable majestic queen of the shades, who carries into effect the curses of men upon the souls of the dead. Persephone was abducted by Hades, the god-king of the underworld. The myth of her abduction represents her function as the personification of vegetation which shoots forth in spring and withdraws into the earth after harvest; hence she is also associated with spring and with the seeds of the fruits of the fields. Similar myths appear in the Orient, in the cults of male gods like Attis, Adonis and Osiris, and in Minoan Crete.
Persephone as a vegetation goddess and her mother Demeter were the central figures of the Eleusinian mysteries that predated the Olympian pantheon, and promised to the initiated a more enjoyable prospect after death. The mystic Persephone is further said to have become by Zeus the mother of Dionysus, Iacchus, or Zagreus. The origins of her cult are uncertain, but it was based on very old agrarian cults of agricultural communities.
Persephone was commonly worshipped along with Demeter, and with the same mysteries. To her alone were dedicated the mysteries celebrated at Athens in the month of Anthesterion. In Classical Greek art, Persephone is invariably portrayed robed; often carrying a sheaf of grain. She may appear as a mystical divinity with a scepter and a little box, but she was mostly represented in the act of being carried off by Hades.
In Roman mythology, she is called Proserpina, and her mother Ceres.

Mark Irrlicht - Genesis

George Ivanovich Gurdjieff (Russian: Гео́ргий Ива́нович Гурджи́ев; January 13, 1866 – October 29, 1949) was an influential spiritual teacher of the early to mid-20th century who taught that most humans live their lives in a state of hypnotic "waking sleep", but that it is possible to transcend to a higher state of consciousness and achieve full human potential. Gurdjieff developed a method for doing so, calling his discipline "The Work" (connoting "work on oneself") or "the Method". According to his principles and instructions, Gurdjieff's method for awakening one's consciousness is different from that of the fakir, monk or yogi, so his discipline is also called (originally) the "Fourth Way". At one point, he described his teaching as being "esoteric Christianity".

Gurdjieff claimed that people cannot perceive reality in their current states because they do not possess consciousness but rather live in a state of a hypnotic "waking sleep."
"Man lives his life in sleep, and in sleep he dies." As a result of this condition, each person perceives things from a completely subjective perspective. He asserted that people in their typical state function as unconscious automatons, but that one can "wake up" and become a different sort of human being altogether.
