Written firstly on acoustic guitar (Gibson J200) then when drums added it became a piano song which swiftly changed from 90's indie sound into pop 80's  . . . I sang the vocals much softer to give an emotional edge to the song. (This is take 14).

ANYWAY - 2014

Instrumental piano track - with drums - keyboard with great distortion - Rickenbacker 4001 Bass added last. My attempt at a TV theme - think 70's cop show or Talk show host's entrance theme.

KALKETOS - 2014

Used to play this track live acoustically. Used to be called "Eyeopener" - changed it around  - added new chorus - and 2nd chorus sang over 1st chorus. Rickenbacker 360V64 played with drums added and abit of piano , Bass maybe a touch of synth in there too.

I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE - 2014

Just started playing this live at acoustic gigs - this is take 6 - drums - bass - organ - a bit of sampling but not too much. Guitars are double tracked Rickenbacker 360V64 and a Fender Telecaster played in a higher position.

HAIR - 2014

Used to be called "Say Me Something" changed to "Supamodel" then finally to a simpler "Glove on a railing" - Had some advice from PaperStone Studios in Nottingham on mixing this complex track.

GLOVE ON A RAILING - 2014

Seems like I've been playing this song for years - used to be called "Life is Good" - Started out as a band song then acoustically and now a gentler piano version - Fender Telecaster for the riffs - 

THURSDAY AFTERNOON - 2014

Got a Paul Weller feel to this song - great wah wah riff - rap in the middle - there's a prize for anyone who can write the correct lyrics of the middle rap. You'll never get all the references.

BEAT THE SYSTEM - 2014

Piano driven ballad - some flutes on there to - acoustic guitar added later - harmonies - drums - a bit of percussion- organ using a old Nanosynth with Wurlitzer.

CONFESSION - 2014

A return to writing and recording after a year or so and put this down very quickly - in about a day from writing to recording. Loved the process so I'm back.
