The Melody of this song was written by Charlie Chaplin and released 1936 in the movie "Modern Times". The lyrics were written later by John Turner und Geoffrey Parsons. songs that are so relatable.  One of country's greatest.  I love Merle

Synesthesia is main motif for this song, first because of original lyrics, then as I felt like adding it more flavor with female vocals*, & finally when I recently watched some paintings about this matter**.
