Super collab with Marcus and Ray here and your words voice (and even piano which I don't think I seen on this one before) worked a treat with the guys on this Mark. And very well enjoyed that blast again too my good friend.

Well it's been a couple of years now and I felt this wonderful flowing motion of a track deserved another blast Mark. I really do not think there was anything "Miserable" about this Disco at all and enjoyed a lot of the work Marcus and Ray did in it and of the coarse the part you yourself played in it too my good friend and very well enjoyed. Oh by the way I was so lucky to find another spot to leave a comment here too mate.

Got totally caught up in the 'lighter than air' feel of this wonderful arrangement…superb work by all involved

RiZLiX Ft. Lady Of Fire Poetry - Sea Gypsy

On the theme of this song
Marcel Proust used to say that we should not explain a work of art, that it is a bit like giving the recipe for a dish that we offer to taste. I am generally more of this opinion but for this piece I will depart from the rule for several reasons: its length its theme its difficult and slow creation.
We often go through less inspired times sometimes even it's a great desert of ideas that seems to extend as far as the eye can see. That’s a bit of what I’ve been through for the past two years, and probably many of us. And then this summer with Aline during our vacation in the city of Nantes we visited an incredible exhibition on hypnosis and in particular the breathtaking installation by artist Tony Oursler (https://tonyoursler.com/state_nonstate- hypnosis) which was the trigger. For some time now, I had in mind the idea of ​​a series of songs around the theme of sleep and dreams (the diva in the Watchmaker Dream was the first of the series) hypnosis then became the central theme. of this second song which took the form of a suite in 7 moments.
Hysteria is a neurosis which is characterized by real physical distress and suffering which are symptoms of conflicts and psychological trauma. At the end of the nineteenth century many famous doctors like Charcot and Freud began to regard hysteria as a disease and try to treat it with hypnosis. (Freud will abandon this technique later, preferring analysis by speaking alone)
The song tells the story of a session like this in its fanciful way.

I also tried to give the mix a very analog color. We worked as much as possible the old-fashioned way with real instruments plugged into tube amps, emulations of old analog synths, and a tube mic for vocals in a tube eq too, and especially trying to play them. taken live. Finally, I used emulations of mythical consoles from the seventies a lot.

Construction
The piece is conceived as a series of "pictures"  alternating of instrumentals and parts sung by Aline. All these parts were recorded in order one after the other in a single session.

I've remixed to my taste their original studio stems (drums & keyboards), adding my own vocals, guitars & more... hard recommendation of headphones again !!

Lyrics are from another of my ancient poems, where I played with oxytone & eproparoxytone rhymes (translated below but with lost effect in English).

Trump’s presidency was a disaster. He divided the country, emboldened hate, and failed to deliver on his promises. He’s a man who thrives on chaos, who lies with every breath, and who cares only about his own ego. As De Niro said: *“He’s a punk, he’s a dog, he’s a mutt. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He’s an idiot. He’s a fool.”* And yet, here we are, facing the possibility of him returning to power. We cannot let that happen. We cannot allow this man to continue to poison our democracy.  

This is not just about Trump—it’s about the people who enable him. The sycophants, the cowards, and the opportunists who stand by his side and allow his corruption to flourish. They are just as guilty as he is. As De Niro said: *“They’re all scum. They’re all mutts. They don’t know what they’re talking about.”* We need to hold them accountable. We need to stand up and fight back.  

The stakes are too high to sit on the sidelines. This is about the soul of our nation. It’s about protecting our democracy, our values, and our future. We cannot afford to let Trump and his enablers win. We must vote, we must organize, and we must make our voices heard. As De Niro said: *“We’re gonna fight back. We’re gonna fight back with everything we’ve got.”*  

So let’s do this. Let’s come together and defeat Trump once and for all. Let’s show the world that we are better than this. That we will not tolerate corruption, lies, and hate. That we will stand up for what’s right. As De Niro said: *“We’re gonna win. We’re gonna win because we have to.”*  

This is our moment. This is our fight. Let’s get to work.

     Howdy everyone and I hope everyone had a great Labor Day, without laboring of course!😂 This is another of my instrumentals, which actually had lyrics but the vocals were not recorded too well so I made it into an instrumental. It's about having that Las Vegas experience which I'm sure nobody can afford anymore with this economy unless you're a billionaire! I've been to Vegas many times and most times I've lost, hence the title "Lost Wages"! I'm not a gambler, so when I lose a couple of hundred dollars I start sweating profusely!!😂 It's a fast paced song and I played like a boogie-woogie synthesizer on it and a rock guitar. Charlie played a groovy harmonica on it too! I've decided to drop an instrumental and a cover song every month from now on besides my normal songs and videos.      The video was a lot of fun to put together and it's all about Las Vegas, the gambling, the show girls, the drinking, the excesses, pretty decadent stuff! There's is a lot of eye-candy here for the grown-ups to enjoy! It drops tomorrow on YouTube! The original song with lyrics was called "My Neck Of The Woods" so if Charlie and I rerecord the vocals, I'll make a video of it as well. I hope everyone enjoys this song and video and remember, don't gamble unless you can afford to lose a ton of money and are rich because it is an addiction! Last time we went to Las Vegas, back before the pandemic, it was for about a week and all we saw were the shows and never gambled, that was my favorite trip because I didn't lose a dime!
