Back on Trax a dance floor heater straight from the lab, it’s studio producer extraordinaire James Hurr who returns to Toolroom Trax with – ‘Right Now’. James Hurr himself has been a part of the firm for a minute now, with a handful of releases on both Toolroom and Toolroom Trax such as ‘Love Together’ with Tasty Lopez & ‘The Revival’ with Lizzie Curious, along with spots on Toolroom’s popular House Party album series.

After signing off 2021 with a superhot collaboration with Toolroom’s founder Mark Knight and vocalist Laura Davie on Mark’s ‘Bullets Vol. 5’ EP, James Hurr kept up the energy up by kicking off 2022 with the huge club weapon on Toolroom – ‘Get Up’. Now, James returns to Toolroom’s club focused imprint label with ‘Right Now’, a bumping House groove with a spacious arrangement and distinctive vocal melody that has become synonymous with James Hurr’s production styles. If you’re looking for new names in 2022 then you better check that James Hurr is high up on that list, as an artist he’s single handily building a reputation for releasing consistent, high quality club records that are itching to get the club moving!

Everybody loves a good mystery. The second chapter of the Nowhere Series brings you to France, Kalamazoo, Arnhem and Den Haag. Four forgotten dance floor bangers by folks who clearly remember the first summer of love, back in 1988.

First up is a dark and twisted acid track by @laurent-garnier. Flashback stems from 1997, but has aged like a good single malt whiskey from France. You better believe it.

It Talks To Me is proper Detroit techno, with it's abstract stabs and moody strings. Except it's from Poland, where US-born @d-knox now resides since 2005 and where he has pumped out an amazing discography. You can't get any closer to early Transmat-energy than with this raw track from 1995.

On the flip it is over to Holland, for two forgotten gems. Inferno came out on vinyl, back in 1993. On the legendary label Gyrate. It's a full on acid affair, with a massive break. Made by Dutchies Frederik (of Pako & Frederik fame), Eric De Man & Heiko van Eindhoven. For this release still vinyl only.

Solartrek by @roland-klinkenberg was picked up by I-F in 1995 for his Top Secret label. The energetic and surprisingly bright track is now remastered and available on vinyl again & digital platforms for the very first time.
