Australian born DJ and producer Kormak has been making waves on Sydney’s club scene, curating adrenaline filled sets that have gained him more than a few high-profile fans, including Aussie man of the moment Fisher. His last track, ‘Keep On’ featured in Simon Dunmore and Sam Divine’s stand-out b2b at Defected Croatia, and his debut release with DFTD maintains his bumping, bass-driven style of production. The release opens with the title track ‘Love On The Line’, a momentum building record that shows Kormak experimenting with the deeper, dubbier side of house music. Taking the gospel-esque, diva vocal from Kerri Chandler’s Heal My Heart in Subdue, Iglesias weaves the sample into a rumbling drum line amongst punchy synth beams. Giving a nod to the old school era, Subdue makes for the perfect nostalgic dance track. Elsewhere, B-side Chubby takes the EP to deeper territories, with signature tech house drums and percussion underpinning a weighty sub and another captivating vocal. Following the exhilarating ‘Baby’ on Drumcode, Tiger Stripes returns to Truesoul with a pair of retro-inspired house cuts. 

The Swede has one of the deepest discographies in house and techno, marked by an ear for deep grooves, dynamic arrangements and cleverly utilised vocals. In a career spanning 15 years, those-in-the-know won’t argue: he’s one of the industry’s most dependable and creative talents. 

His last outing on Truesoul was the inspiring cross-genera collaboration ‘Sound of The Bettest’
with Riva Starr. A year on, his return ‘Sneaking Hotdogs into People’s Pockets’ likewise revels in scribbling outside the lines. The title comes from a segment on the popular Youtube Channel Vlog Creations and the track similarly fizzes with the same sense of fun. Tiger Stripes says he wanted to create a cut influenced by his “guilty pleasure” of ‘90s influenced dance pop music, while crafting a work that stays true to his production style, imbued with plenty of depth, groove and soul. The resulting vocal-driven track does this with deft spirit. ‘Guidelines’ is similarly a trip down memory lane. Named after the club night he used to run in Stockholm, he extracts influenced from his home country’s fertile scene in the early 2000s, where disco-influenced house and techno ruled the roost.

Italian DJ/producer Qubiko has recently been turning heads with his signature bouncing basslines and feel-good sound, remixing the likes of Sonny Fodera, Dennis Cruz and Joeski as well as releasing an impressive discography of his own material. SONNY FODERA REMIXES CLAPTONE AND MYLO’S 2020 HIT COLLABORATION OF ‘DROP THE PRESSURE’

Australian DJ and producer ​Sonny Fodera is the latest artist to remix the hit ​Claptone collaboration with ​Mylo ​of the classic ​‘Drop The Pressure’​, out ​10th July​.

Fodera delivers a euphoric, piano-led rework of ​‘Drop The Pressure’​, channeling a sound that’s been crafted with the terraces of Ibiza in mind. It follows a recent remix from German DJ and producer ​Purple Disco Machine​, which has over ​500K streams​, while the original spent an entire month at ​#1​ on the ​Beatport ​charts.

Best known for his remix work, including his reimagining of ​Gregory Porter’s ‘Liquid Spirit’​, after releasing ​‘Fantast’​, his second studio album in 2018, ​Claptone’s ​uplifting and vocal heavy style of house has gone on to rack up millions of plays on ​YouTube​, with his ​Spotify currently enjoying ​3 million monthly listeners​.
