Audiomatique Recordings keeps up with another three tracker of grooving, heady house music from Professional Gigolo. The Ligeia EP is a platform for the Germany based Emanuele Vito Morciano to unveil the next step in his career, and each track here suggests he’s going to leave a serious mark on 2016. The title track combines spacy synths, a shuffling, groove and firing percussion with a cosmic, psychedelic energy that is sure to go over big with the festival crowds this summer. Etna is a shade darker in it’s mood, perhaps referencing the headsdown late night vibe of Carl Craig, with disembodied melodies appearing over a growling, brooding bass. Ligeia (The Unhottest Remix) closes the EP, a version that brings a different dimension to the track, teasing out a deeper, more emotional atmosphere well suited to the very late hours or early mornings.
