Mikhail Bessmertny aka Deep Active Sound and I have had a chat and here are a few questions and Answers..

Q..1 Where are you from?

A..I'm From Russia, town Maykop

Q...2 How did you get into music and how would you describe your music.

A...This happened about 7 years ago. Then I came across a program FL Studio. And I started making sketches of what is just for fun! So gradually I became interested in making music, and in 2009, I signed my first EP on the Russian label Newborn Records. By this time I chose the basic style Deep House. I wanted to make interesting sounds in this direction! Add more rhythmic shades and groove.

Q...3 what Music did you use to listen to when you were younger and do you think it influenced you?

A...Answer...Earlier I listened to everything. It was Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop music. Then Drum & Bass, very long time listened to Trance. I needed any time to find my style. And as a result House music became it. I was interested by all these electronic sounds which I didn't hear in other instrumental tracks. And it hooked me!

Q..4 Did you Dj first or did you start off by doing production?

A..4. Yes, at first I started to write music (This is now the main occupation for me). But after a while I started getting mails with offer to participate on events as DJ. And I realized that the production and DJing this one whole! Since then I play.

Q..5 Which do you prefer doing the most?

A..5. I love to make music of course. Every day I do something, it enhances the experience.
But there are other things! Meeting with friends, walks, trips out of town! All that can fill my life with bright moments!

Q...6 How long have you been involved in making music?.

A..6. In General, about 7 years. But professionally since 2009.

Q..7 What Type of Music Do You Produce?

A..7. Basically it's deep, but there are cases tech and progressive house.

Q..8 What labels have you worked with?

A..8. Recently there was a lot of remixes. I have worked with Giom, Rishi K., Deep Spelle, BiG Al, Onur Ozman and many others!

Q..9 What labels have you worked with?

A..9. There is quite a lot. Loco Records, Large Music, I Records, Deep Wit, UM Records, DeepClass, Disclosure Project etc.

Q..10 If you could remix a track for anyone (Artist, Performer dead or alive) who would it be?

A.10. It is difficult to say. Such artists very much! Well can something of the old tracks of the project Echomen.

Q..11 What’s your favourite track you’ve ever made yourself?

A..11 Favourite perhaps Departure, although Got U feat Lena Grig also like not less!

Q..12 What’s your Favourite Track of all time?

A.. 12. Jakatta - One Fine Day (Cicada Mix) 100%

Q.13 Who is your favourite artist that is around now?

A.13. Also it is hard to point to one of them! Everyone is good in its own way. Now I really like Audiojack, James Dexter, Giom.

Q..14 Has 2014 been a good year for you so far?

A.14. Yep. Of course

Q.15 What have you got going on at the moment?

A.15. Now I'm working on new tracks. Ahead of good releases and planned author's album!

Q..16 What have you got planned for the future, for you and the Label?

A.16. I plan to expand a comfort zone, to visit new places. To work over more interesting sounding of tracks.

Hi my name is Mark Mac.
“I love my family and my life, my only other passion is music” 
I’ve been a dance DJ in many clubs and bars up and down the UK and across Europe. I’ve worked with a number of radio stations doing Deep House, House and Chillout shows for over the last 20 years, In that time I’ve mixed it up with world famous Djs from all around the globe. 
The Sounds Collective show was born in May of 2011 as part of my passion for dance music. It has grown at an amazing rate with the support and help of good friends and new friends I have met along the way. 
 On My shows I play the newest and finest in Deep House, House music, and chilled beats. The show has been honoured with many amazing world class Labels Artists and Dj’s.
Labels like UM Records, Deepwit Recordings, Itom Records, Ready Mix Records, Fierce Angel, Hed Kandi, SeamlessDeep, Redbox Records and Deep Site Recordings.
 The line up of Guest Dj’s who have appeared on the shows include Andrew Weatherall, Rishi K., Paul Cassidy, Moti Brothers, Tom Lown, Portofino Sunrise, Rory Cochrane, Broadcasting, Ben Sowton, Marshall Jefferson, Mark Doyle, Terry Hunter, Graham Sahara, Graham Park.  I have been influenced by music all my life from 70s Funk to Funky House but I am truly blessed to be able to share my Passion and love for Deep House with The Sounds Collective on 107.3 Stafford FM. DHR 104.9 Fm and LDNFM I have several Tracks that I have released featuring both Deep House And Organic house. on Deepwit Recordings, Batavia Records, Sound Vessel Records M-Sol Deep Be Adult Music And Be Adult Weapons.
