01. Deep House Vibes_On the Edge.WAV

!Sooks is an electronic music artist, hailing from the kingdom of eSwatini (Swaziland), whose musical escapades persist in listing him as one of Southern Africaís leading electronic music stars. Real name Sukoluhle Dlamini, he began his journey at an early age when he became fascinated by African music and synth sound creation. He fully made his mark in the electronic music scene in 2016 when he released his first EP titled ì7 Years of Colourî under Antidote Music, followed by a release under international
label Deepstitched Records titled ìA Different Placeî.

The success of his music has led him to be invited to perform in various major events in his home country eSwatini, Mozambique and South Africa, with the most notable events being MTN Bush Fire Festival, Soul Candi Spring Fiesta and Mixmagís The Lab Johannesdburg.

Amongst his biggest achievements to date are winning 3 awards in 2019 including ìBest Underground Record of the Yearî for his song ìOasisî, Best Compilation Album for House Afrika Recordsí Mzansi House Vol.9 (which includes his debut album ìSymmetryî) at the Dance Music Awards South Africa (DMASA) and Best House Artist at the SWAMA Awards in eSwatini. He has recently released his debut project under renowned UK label
Atjazz Record Company (ARCo) titled Pot Pourri, that charted at No. 2 on Appleís ITunes Dance Chart (South Africa) in its first week of release.

Episode 04 - Sunday Morning Service

The precursor to the founding of "The Church of Deep House" as a music space dedicated to that pure deep house sound, "On The Edge" was curated and mixed by Farrah DJ in 2021 as her sound evolved toward a more underground and pure deep house sound as a result of being introduced to new artists and labels.

With a warm, dubby groove that is not too light and yet not too heavy this mix soundtracks the sentiment that accompanies that hiatus between the end of the day and the start of your evening...

It is that time of day where the sun is about to set and a deep golden hue covers everything as far as the eye can see.  That's my favourite part of the day actually.  It’s that point in time where the major activities of the day are done or nearly over with and there is a sense of satisfaction at their completion.  The mind-body-soul nourished by the sunlight, content with all that is, experiences the hiatus between the end of the day and the beginning of that nights proceedings; whatever that may entail. It is the point where the day relaxes into itself as an accordion relaxes into itself as it is slowly compressed. And everything looks golden, feels golden, is golden; life at this point is golden for me.

 We are every proud to welcome back A Good friend, A brilliant Dj and The Owner of The Excellent South African Deep House Label Deepstitched, Coming all the way from Johannesburg South Africa its 2lani the Warrior. 
He has been rocking dance floors all over the South African club scene since around 1997 and in that time he has grown with his experiences and his talents 2lani has been one of the main people in South that has made distinct difference in the south African music scene.
He has been responsible for expanding Deephouse and Underground music throughout South Africa, and way beyond. 
I'm glad to say he is in Europe at the moment and has stopped off in the uk to be the main guest at last Friday nights Deep Site Recordings Event along side another top quality DJ and Producer and joint owner of Deep Site Records Rory Cochrane. Hi my name is Mark Mac.
“I love my family and my life, my only other passion is music” 
I’ve been a dance DJ in many clubs and bars up and down the UK and across Europe. I’ve worked with a number of radio stations doing Deep House, House and Chillout shows for over the last 20 years, In that time I’ve mixed it up with world famous Djs from all around the globe. 
The Sounds Collective show was born in May of 2011 as part of my passion for dance music. It has grown at an amazing rate with the support and help of good friends and new friends I have met along the way. 
 On My shows I play the newest and finest in Deep House, House music, and chilled beats. The show has been honoured with many amazing world class Labels Artists and Dj’s.
Labels like UM Records, Deepwit Recordings, Itom Records, Ready Mix Records, Fierce Angel, Hed Kandi, SeamlessDeep, Redbox Records and Deep Site Recordings.
 The line up of Guest Dj’s who have appeared on the shows include Andrew Weatherall, Rishi K., Paul Cassidy, Moti Brothers, Tom Lown, Portofino Sunrise, Rory Cochrane, Broadcasting, Ben Sowton, Marshall Jefferson, Mark Doyle, Terry Hunter, Graham Sahara, Graham Park.  John Jones, Dave Pearce, Terry Farley, Paul Oakenfold to name but a few.
 I have been influenced by music all my life from 70s Funk to Funky House but I am truly blessed to be able to share my Passion and love for Deep House with The Sounds Collective on 107.3 Stafford FM. DHR 104.9 Fm and LDNFM I have several Tracks that I have released featuring both Deep House And Organic house. on Deepwit Recordings, Batavia Records, Sound Vessel Records M-Sol Deep Be Adult Music And Be Adult Weapons.
