A short relaxing piano piece I composed on a beautiful baby grand while watching a storm's end. The clouds rolling away, the wind, everything about it was so peaceful. I recorded this in Studio One 4 Artist using EastWest's beautiful Bösendorfer piano library. Considering my very limited piano skills, I'm very pleased with the recording, and I can still hear the breeze and see those clouds when I play it. I thoroughly enjoyed writing this piece, and hope you guys enjoy it as well.

The Field

A piece I wrote as a journal entry. I woke up thinking about the ocean, and remembered a melody from a piece I wrote in 2012. I re-wrote it for a violin trio. While I was writing, I was thinking this : "Go, I say. Go into that vast blue expanse. Touch the horizon. Meet the burning orange sun as it dives beneath the dark blue. expanse. I say again, go. Go into that vast blue expanse."

A piece that was inspired by the sight of a lake by one of my friend's house. The same friend, Emily Coats, took the picture of me playing the piano.

The Lake

Here is a new orchestral piece I finished this evening. Many months of sermons and letting this idea develop in my head has lead to this end. This piece describes not only a storm, but more importantly it describes how we sometimes have to go through storms in order to see and realise God's great plan for us, and that no matter what he will always be there for us. I hope you enjoy this piece! I used Spitfire Audio's Orchestral Swarm Library, East West's Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra library, and GarageBand to write this.

The Storm

I composed this a while ago, but never got around to posting it. This piece was inspired by some trees I saw that were blooming white petals in the spring. Once it got closer to summer, those white petals fell off and many times I saw them blowing across the parking lot and getting carried away with the wind. I hope you guys enjoy!

The Tumbling White Petals

It's been a while since I've posted, or even wrote, any new compositions. This piece was inspired by a dream I had a while back, and is definitely one of my most beautiful compositions. I used Mainly Spitfire Audio Sound libraries with some percussion from East West sound libraries. I wrote it using garage band. I hope you guys enjoy it, and I'd love to hear your thoughts! Music Journal No. 11

Erie, dangerous, cold, frozen, and yet so beautiful and majestic, today I finished a piece that describes an Iceberg from above in the icy cold airs of the antarctic to below where shiny emerald green ice awaits your sight. I used Notion 6, several sound libraries from Spitfire Audio, and EastWest's Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra to compose this piece. It was a real joy to write and I can't wait until I'm inspired to write another ambient piece of this style! I hope you guys enjoy!

The Iceberg

This Piece was created for my sister, who draws art. She has lately been drawing alien creatures and an entire world to go along with them. This is the second piece of the series which describes the Descent through the atmosphere of the planet, an adrenaline filled and intense feeling. St the end you plummet below the cloud line to discover a living, beautiful planet full of discovery. Hope you enjoy!

The Descent

This is the first piece of several that describe an alien world that my sister has started to create. She asked me to write themes and pieces to go along with them. This piece describes the feeling one might feel while Approaching an alien planet just before the Descent into the atmosphere. Hope you enjoy it!

The Approach

This piece was inspired by the ancient Scandinavian way of calling their cattle. High pitched melodies that could traveling distances. I hope you guys enjoy it!

The Call

I'm a composer who writes for orchestras, small ensembles, and the occasional choir. I've been writing music since the 5th Grade and have absolutely loved every minute of it.
