Live recording of my set @ DISTRIKT from 2014, Monday afternoon as the playa was finally drying out and the sun had returned after intense rainstorms had paralyzed all movement, including access through the gates. No one was getting in, no one was getting out. The storms made a hard start to the week for those of us that were inside and we were thrilled to finally get out and be together, even as the gates remained closed. All these factors created a special energy that was awesome to be a part of. I got to play an extra hour due to the gate closure, so I felt extra lucky because given the conditions leading up to this moment, I was thinking I wouldn't be playing this set at all.  The crew at DISTRIKT were just the BEST and made me and my fam feel incredibly welcome. Just like everything else they do, DISTRIKT's hospitality and their Crew Love is on point. In front of the booth I kept seeing and getting to reunite with close friends that i hadn't seen in years. It was just one of the most magical moments in my life to be honest. Big thank you to DJ Kramer, Darren Grayson, Piper, and to all the amazing homies from DISTRIKT!

Easily to me one of my most important and favorite sets to play and I look forward to this night with my PEX Phamily all year long. Marko Peli started out as a Battle style DJ at the age of 14, His early love for House music which was greatly inspired by his summers visiting family in Greece and the  Yoshitoshi record shop in Georgetown (DC) quickly shifted his attention to playing House music. Marko First started playing professionally in San Francisco in 2009 as godBrother. In 2010 he started spinning as "Marko Peli" launched by a few good friends with a stage at a festival. Marko is now based out of his home town of Washington DC. He has gotten the chance to play in clubs from LA, SF, NYC, Philly, to DC. His affiliation is with PEX.
