„The Wahiba Tapes“ is a collaboration between german electronic music project „Touring“ and director Marko Roth. In summer 2020 they teamed up for a studio live session, where they combined vocal samples from Roth’s short movie „The Encounter“ with analog synthesizers and drum machines. 

The vocal samples contain excerpts from a conversation between Alice (a 25-year-old documentary photographer and activist) and Ali (who lives most time of the year in the desert of Oman without seeing his wife, daughters or friends) and was recorded during filming for Roth’s short movie.
