Legendary German techno duo Pan-Pot announce their brand-new project ‘FORTE’, a collection of ten singles. Each track presents individually, each telling their own unique story influenced by the duo’s ever-evolving sound over the years - something that has kept them perpetually current. The culmination also marks a milestone 20th anniversary for the duo, serving as a resounding reminder of why they have been at the forefront of the scene for over two decades.

’FORTE’ meaning strong, translates all the good and bad times we have had, in a way that reflects on our sound. It's a journey of reflection, reinvention, and inspiration from our travels around the world and the people we have met along the way. The tracks emulate the past, present, and future, in a range of styles, but most importantly they are all tracks which we love and enjoy playing. In a little over a year Gunnar Haslam has established himself amongst the new school house and techno greats thanks to his inventive releases on L.I.E.S., Argot and Mister Saturday Night. Now he steps up with a new four track EP on Delsin that showcases his wide-ranging style.

The EP opens with 'Corridor Metaphysics', a high-pressure bit of deep techno with urgent drums and eerie, haunting glass tinkling sounds. It’s a warm and humid track that places you right at the heart of it and everything that happens does so subtly and suggestively rather than with brute force. 'Ataxia No Logos' is then a spangled and disorientating track with panning and ever more manic synths encircling the listener. Incessant ticking highs and distant drones add to the sense of oppression and on a dancefloor this will do some serious damage.

Flipside 'Dunsinane Hill' is more tender and sensitive, with deep house chords and drums peppered with loose tin pot percussion. It’s moody but purposeful, sad but cerebral and eventually makes way for 'Discrete Markov Dub', a rippling bit of techno with crisp hits, a fat bassline that pulls you right in and oversized hi hats leaving long trails. Overall this is deep, heady music that manages to be shadowy, emotive and physical all at the same time.

Border One, one of the leading figures of the Belgian techno sound that became a movement in Europe, has released on world-class labels like Token and SK_eleven. He now presents the 31st release of LDG. The release features remixes by LDG founders YUTA and O-MA, and Shinsuke Goto, whose remix marks his debut.

Exosignal by Border One is crafted with his main principle in mind "making the audience dance". The track is set to LDG’s signature mid-tempo, with sudden pads creating a unique and dreamy development, showcasing true craftsmanship.

The YUTA/O-MA REMIX is mid-tempo minimal techno with a distinct bassline, sharp hi-hats, percussive yet groovy elements, and subtle, refined techniques.

Shinsuke Goto’s REMIX, his debut track, is high-energy yet deep, layering a wavering lo-fi feel with tape-modular-like sounds, creating an addictive, immersive, and trippy modern techno.

Mastering is done by techno legend Peter Van Hoesen. BETA07, blending the refined and beautiful sound that LDG pursues, will be released 5 November.

<p>Sasha Carassi&#8217;s summer hit gets the full remix treatment and Chicago Loop is up first with his beefed-up version, sprinkled with the Original&#8217;s chopped-up chords and an epic breakdown. Alberto Ruiz is next with a more dubbed-out approach, letting his airtight rhythm section do all the talking. Frankyeffe takes us on a cavernous ride, complete with the familiar progressions and tasty squelches, which ultimately lead us to Taster Peter&#8217;s pad-led remix that relies heavily on the synths as it stomps away.</p>

Marco Bailey returns to his miraculous imprint, MBR Limited, and as always he delivers the goodies. Coyu and Ramiro Lopez are regular production partners, having released a number of tracks on Coyu’s own Suara in the past, as well as John Digweed’s esteemed Bedrock Records. This latest track on Drumcode further adds to their reputation as a force to be reckoned with. ‘Clap Your Hands’ allows the pair to display their talent for harder-edged techno. Pounding drums, metallic rattling, a tension-filled breakdown and the eponymous distorted vocal sample help to ensure the track fits in perfectly with Drumcode’s high-quality repertoire. Made with the dancefloor in mind, Coyu debuted ‘Clap Your Hands' during his set at Valencia’s Marenostrum Festival, where it received a spectacular reception.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

Intec's new release is from UMEK who is a Slovenian artist accredited with kick-starting the techno scene in his home country, before earning critical acclaim on a global scale when he first started his career in the 90s.

Having released on labels ranging from CLR and Novamute right through to Toolroom, in recent years UMEK's own imprint "1605" has also become a main outlet for his music.

People with a good knowledge of technos history will be more than aware of the impact of UMEKs classics tracks, such as his anthemic Gatex that came out only a few years before his first Intec release in 2005.

Having also collaborated with many influential figures such as Chris Liebing and Joey Beltram, this new solo EP is UMEKs third release on Intec.

Titled Percussionix the EP opens with (Mix 1) which centres around a thick set bassline cut with filter sweeps and full of menacing intent. Leading the track is a combination of tribal percussion loops, which provide the track's main driving force.

Track two is UMEKs alternative mix of Percussionix which titled (Mix 2) has a more refined sound with the raw edges of the percussion being rounded off to smooth the sound, and its bassline is left unfiltered so it becomes more of a gradual sweep that grows with building tension.

Brazilian techno star ANNA continues to make a strong impact on contemporary techno by making her debut on the influential NovaMute imprint with her 'Razor' EP, featuring the hypnotic and rolling dancefloor cut 'Dreamweaver'.

Anna shared her excitement for working with the acclaimed imprint: "It’s such an honor to be working with NovaMute. Daniel is a legend and a few years ago I’d never even imagined this would ever happen, such are the happy coincidences in life! Now we’re here and Razor EP is done and it all feels a bit surreal."

'Dreamweaver' showcases a more subtle approach from ANNA, who reworked the track many times before stripping back the beat. The final version is a heads-down techno ballad. 

The three-track 'Razor' EP is set for release June 8.
