Beide fingen zunächst an, mit verschiedenen Ideen rumzuspielen: „Und von Zeit zu Zeit hat sich der Track entwickelt. Angefangen hat aber alles mit der Melodie, die sich nun durch den gesamten Track zieht. Anschließend haben wir im Prinzip um die Melodie herum aufgebaut.“ (...)

GNTN - Plexus

The latest EP on Respekt Recordings combines techno talent from Germany and France, as GNTN and The Reactivitz join forces for the release of Gravity. 

The EP is a strong outing from this collaboration, which is expected from artists that include labels such as Endless Music, Toolroom and Phobiq in their resumés.  The original track is mechanical and industrial in nature, with heavy drums and catchy bass synths throughout. For his remix Giorgio Rusconi adds a darker touch to the track, turning it into a broody and captivating techno piece perfect for peak-time play.

Label heads Pleasurekraft first release since this summer's massive chart-topping "Space Date" remix is a thick double slice of Cosmic Techno.  First up the collaboration with Argentinian Kraftek regulars Beico & Mt93, "A6 454", a subtle reference for those up on their sci-fi cinema game, followed by a second a-side (were this any other release), this one with Spanish producers The YellowHeads. Beico & MT93 are back on Unrilis with a new four-track EP in the style they have previously championed on other labels such as Terminal M, Respekt, Kraftek and Suara.

The Argentinian duo’s last release on Unrilis picked up support from artists ranging from Adam Beyer to Slam, and this one is a much anticipated follow up.

Opening the EP is “Reflection Intro” which ramps up the tension with slow-building synths and dramatic bass stabs. The original mix of “Reflection” is next on the EP with its rattling hi-hats and pounding kick drum fused with the namesake vocal sample.

Second of the original cuts is “Tenebrous” that combines a flickering lead synth with explosive tom drums and thrashing off-beat hats. “Real Faces” closes the EP with its pulsating bass synth overplayed with bursts of euphoria perfect for maximum dance floor impact.

We holed ourselves up for a few months and hammered out loads and loads of ideas, then filtered and refined the pool through playing them out and getting feedback from a few trusted pairs of ears, until "Against a Dark Background" began to crystallise into its final form.

Moving to Germany from England 15 years ago in search of an inspirational scene that embraced his tough uncompromising sound. First discovered by Sven Väth Mark has since gone on to establish a reputation totally respected by his peers through groundbreaking productions on iconic labels such as Afterlife, Drumcode, Cocoon, Soma and many more. Fully established on the scene Mark has helped push electronic music forwards as a solo artist, while working with true heavyweights like Tale of Us, Adam Beyer and Pig&Dan 

Equally at home behind the decks and a mixer live as he is in the studio, Mark’s DJ sets have been been receiving fantastic feedback, with his talent and artistic vision taking listeners on a thrilling journey full of hard driving beats and intense melodies at dance floors around the globe such as Awakenings Gashouder, Space Ibiza, Fabrik Madrid or Rex Club.
