Was sitting in the BA lounge in Heathrow's Terminal 5 earlier this week waiting to head down to Cape Town for a couple of days, and had some fun remixing Ferry Corsten's version of Alpha 9's Come Home. 

Still a rough cut at this stage ... but couldn't help but think what fun a Heathrow Dance Party would be.

Second draft of an end of evening remix of Wellenrausch's Hypnotize. The stems were taken from the Tractor remix deck (available from BeatPort), with a number of additional voices added on the keyboard using Native Instruments' Komplete library. Was aiming for a late night (end of evening feel). Mastered by Landr.com. Thoughts welcome.

First draft of a remix of Wellenrausch's Dream Within A Dream. Additional voices played in on my new Native Instruments Komplete S Series Keyboard using several Komplete 9 instruments. Needs quite a bit of work on the levels - pending. Remastered on LANDR. As always, suggestions welcome. 

Dream Within A Dream (Ruddock Remix)

Sat down on a dreary Toronto morning and gave myself a 2 hour window to deliver something end-end. This track leverages the excellent Drop Squad Expansion Pack for Maschine. 

I gave myself a bit of a head start with the "Back To Dub Roots" sample project. The rest was played in on Maschine Studio, and my tiny CME xKey travelling keyboard. Track was mastered on-line with LANDR. Despite having used Bitwig for a number of months now, getting back to Maschine was a breeze thanks to the workflow of Machine Studio.

Cinematic Dub (2 hour project)

A small project to pass the time on a dreary and cold winters day in Toronto. Pulled together inside Maschine with some help from Night Sky.

Chillout (the Sunday sessions)

Another Saturday morning (two hour) project. This time, starting with the excellent NEON Maschine Expansion Pack from Native Instruments, and the demo track "Fever Line". A wonderful way to explore what is possible with Maschine and the Komplete Library.

Neon Playtime (2 hour project)

A work in progress remix of Carmina Burana, re-imagined with some Dub overtones. Traktor used to extract some of the components, original voices and arrangement added on a Komplete S and MPK 225 using Komplete Ultimate Library ... assembled in Bitwig Studio.

Experimented for the first time with two amazing Kontakt libraries over the weekend. Featured in the piece are Edwardo Tarilonte's Cantus Monks and his equally amazing Shevannai Elves. Both virtual instruments that allow you to create rich soundscapes. Work in progress.

Imagining a rave on Tatooine. Leveraged the amazing Cantus and Shevannai instruments from Edwardo Tarilonte in addition to the Exhale vocal instrument from Output. Composed recently on a flight back from London, inspired by the unreal cloudscape out the window. Still a work in progress.

Having been born in Jamaica, one would have expected that I would have worked on a Reggae track before. Nope ... but here goes! This Sunday Sessions experiment was built with the help of the Black Arc Expansion Pack from Native Instruments, some Vocal samples from LoopMasters. A few elements of Reggae, Dub, Cuban and Calypso ... just because one can :-)

During a recent flight back from the UK to Toronto, I had a chance to play with the latest version of Garage Band on my iPad. The new strings functionality is pretty impressive, although playing the cello by stroking the screen caused more than a few stares. 

This track was completed in about 2 hours. Leaving lots of time for dinner, a couple of TV shows and a nap :-)

Just a very rough snippet of some fun had fooling around with Logic Pro and my tiny M-Audio Portable Keyboard for the first time. Needs to be cleaned up and re-mixed.

Another live remix experiment using Traktor DJ on the iPad ... this time Mia Martina's beautifully executed Go Crazy (featuring Adrian Sina).

Inspired by a recent Masterclass with Hans Zimmer ... a very rough cut experimenting with some themes for a fictional movie ... some limited machine sound processing done by LANDR (though that's actually not great for classical tracks).

Sound engineers ...  movie scorers ... apologies in advance. And Zimmer would hate this ... way too many violins ... but I was in that sort of a mood and it was a nice break from the EDM :-)
