Outburst Radioshow #627

I was the Saturday night resident DJ in the METRO Saltcoats nightclub in Ayrshire (Scotland) back in 1998 until 2000. 
If you've never heard of the club, it was arguably Scotland's #1 club away back in the day - and in July of this year, after a long 25 years, I returned to the infamous venue to play a 4.5 hour OTC 'trance classics' set to celebrate the music that I used to play back then - and also celebrate my 30th year as a DJ at the same time!

Here is the recording from the night, big thanks to everyone that I saw on the night, it was a big one!  :)

If I had to give you the name of ONE track that changed my life forever, then it would have to be this one! In 1990 I was at the local shows (carnival) with my Dad, and as we made our way towards the waltzers, this song came on. The pounding audio, the intense strobe lights, the smoke machine, the cheering crowd..it was as if something switched on inside my brain telling me that I needed more of this, a LOT more!! Roll on to 1994 and my dream became reality - my first gig was achieved - and now roll on another 30 years I'm still here doing what I love.

Here is the live recording of my old school set in the Rave Cave at 'Streetrave 2025' which was held on the Sunday at the amazing 3x day long Pavilion Festival in my home town of Ayr in Ayrshire (Scotland)! When I got back from the UnKonscious beach festival in Thailand earlier this year, season 3 of ‘White Lotus’ had just begun..which is set in Thailand - so we absolutely loved the show and got right into it! But it’s the theme track of the show that really grabbed me, the way that it switches up halfway through and goes all dark & twisted and kinda ‘psy’..but still uplifting. It gave me major goosebumps so I knew that I had to do my own rework!

I've recreated a lot of the parts, but tried to stay as close to the original as I could!

I've been a huge fan of Chase & Status ever since I remixed their track 'Blind Faith' a good few years ago..so as soon as I heard their track 'Backbone' with Stormzy, I knew right away that I had to remix this as well..but under my 'Dark Sherry' hard techno alias! 😈
I also wanted to make something that was really fast and crazy to play as my closing track in my 'Dark Sherry' set at Luminosity Events in the summer earlier this year - so this is what I came up with!
