Wondering what could have been
The song is inspired by a few different elements. The instruments and use of reverb is inspired by the post-apocalyptic game genre (Left4Dead and The Last of Us). The music is supposed to make you think of what could have been. Your mind goes wondering into a fantasy of how your life could have turned out, had you done something different. The thought then ends dramatically as you return the the rainy world of reality.
