The idea of the song and the chorus go back to a night in 2014. After a music festival I missed the last bus back home and decided to walk those 18 kilometers through the night. Crazy I guess, but worth every step. Written and recorded in 2022.

What goes wrong

One that I am hugely proud of. For the remake I had to relearn most of the guitar solos. The song tells about all those childhood memories and the impossibility to return to those happy times. They are as far away or as high as the moon. Originally written and recorded in 1996.

Written and recorded in 2014. This was my last finished song before a long break when creating music just had lost importance. The song is about the daily struggle with life. For the person who makes it worthwile.

Sprinkles of colour

The first new song from scratch after a creative break of 8 years is one of my proudest achievements. The song title popped in my mind, and then I knew I'd challenge myself to write a song using the slovak language. The lyrics are simple enough but express all that has to be said. Dedicated to my wife and comrade for life. Written and recorded in 2022.

When my mother died it hit me hard. In autumn 2014 I wrote and recorded the whole song but was still missing substantial parts of the lyrics. The song remained unfinished until 2022 when I finally made a serious effort and managed to get it done. It is all about getting through the hard times, allowing yourself to be weak for as long as it takes until eventually you accept and go on while keeping the fond memories alive. Dedicated to P.N.

Written in 1994 the song is a message to all of us who thought or decided they would never want to fall in love again and then found out that - although futile - it's still possible. For this one I used the Telecaster E-guitar that I had built from a DIY kit.

Written in 1997. A very personal song. The original was an accoustic piece with guitar, accordion, blues harp and vocals. I wanted the remake to be in a more optimistic, up-tempo mood.
