These days, the life of Polish producer and DJ Blazej Malinowski looks good busy. Amidst a packed touring schedule, this multi-talented artist is on a roll with numerous releases in 2023. Not only that, but he's also dedicated to further developing his own label, Inner Tension, which includes organizing a series of events as well. In everything he does the visual aspect is extremely important - so unsurprisingly he also curates a regular night to soundtrack silent movies. 

Renowned for his unique take on Astral-Plane-Techno, Blazej has crafted a mix for Delayed that perfectly captures his signature sound and is very well-fitted to bring a dark club night right to your ears. At the core of his work lies a passion for creating uplifting moments through electronic music and fostering meaningful connections with an open mind. This philosophy shines through in his upcoming collaborative EP, "Are we alone or are we just overwhelmed?" set to be released on Inner Tension. Teaming up with esteemed collaborators like Neel, Svreca, Claudio PRC, and Milena Glowacka, Blazej embarks on a sonic exploration that ensures that the hearts of techno lovers will certainly beat faster. It was about time that we got together for a chat with Blazej and discussed his philosophy, musical roots and of course latest release.

When Disco Goes Wrong goes Techno: The innovative Swedish label, for its forthcoming episode, opens the doors for none other than Markus Enochson, a veteran producer and original raver hailing from Stockholm, who has been a prominent figure in the electronic music scene for over two decades. With an impressive discography on renowned labels including MAW, Svek, Still Music, and Sonar Kollektiv, Enochson's unique style and artistic vision have earned him widespread recognition. His brand-new endeavour, “Duvan” (“Dove” in English), develops its magic through four characterful originals bouncing amid Techno and Tech-House with shards of House and Trance. An interesting hotchpotch that showcases Markus’s unique sonority.

Premiered here, the title track flies high with its upbeat and energetic gate. A peak-time 132-BPM beast whose shut-up-and-dance attitude brings back memories from a young dinosaur discovering and falling in eternal love with the high-propelled aura of his first raves surrounded by trees and wilderness in the North of Brazil. “Duvan” is intense, groovy, hypnotic, and delivers a proper dance-floor experience for those who are lucky enough to bump into it when losing themselves to music at a cool party somewhere in this crazy ol’ planet of ours.

Reflective Moments

The fourth installment on When Disco Goes Wrong comes at us with a clear message: It aint what you got, it's what you do with what you have. Do it well!

And in this case WDGW:s own head honcho @marten-attling has put together some extraordinary dance floor magic with the help of acclaimed producer @magnus-asberg-c-soul (Romana Records, Plastic City, Viva Recordings plus may more).

'Do it well' comes in five equally tasty and chunky portions: Mindbenders 'New York Mix' is a pumping fat bass laden stomper straight from a dirty abandoned meat packing district warehouse. 

The Magnus Asberg Remix jumps on a percussion groove train with a perfect double acid line driving it all the way down to dirty house central. Broken synth sounds on overdrive and expertly produced little bleeps and glitches throughout the track completes the journey. 

The 'Acid Mix' goes even deeper into the early morning floor territory, with a modulated siren like synth swirling around as the steady four to the floor groove keeps you in check. The 303 acid line sits perfect on top as dubby effects play out expanding into space. 

The next version brings arpeggiated fat 80s synth sound into a driving epic full on Italo Mix. With a boss bass line, disco claps and hammering snares, it is guaranteed to do some serious damage on a floor.

Last but not least, rounding off the EP is another original track. 'I Decided To Dance' is a dirty acid hippie affair with a soft spoken word theme and a deep infinite bass line that acts as the foundation for the track. An essential groover.
