PREMIERE : Snake Milk – Never Stop To Dance This Way (Morze Remix)

We start this review by answering the question asked at the premiered beast we have here: Yes, we want a revolution! We need it! Capitalism has been depleting Earth’s resources to their exhaustion threatening all life on the planet and the profit-over-people policy of the gluttonous zillionaires has been killing us from the inside out! “Say We Want A Revolution”, besides being a massive and hellish tune, works as a wake-up call to the dangers of capitalist realism.

Focusing on the music from now on, Parissior (SXDNS206/FREEDL043) finally managed to deliver his second EP on his own label, the beloved-by-all powerhouse Espacio Cielo. The release is made up of a fresh selection of three works that were kept in his vault since the pandemic times and that express some of the main concerns of the Spanish producer with the status quo. For the title track, Parissior teamed up with Mike Sacchetti (SXDNS168/FREEDL023) and the lads failed big to disappoint in bringing together their darkest and most characteristic influences in order to deliver a stunning piece!

On the remix duties, GUYD (FREEDL011) and Disco Mortale aka Daniel Monaco (SXDNS137/FREEDL006) brought the originals into their respective games. DM, for instance, came up with a proper EBM interpretation of his assignment. To start, the Italian virtuoso decided to spice up things a little bit by speeding up Parissior & Mike’s 115-BPM theme to a more peak-time pace. Riding now on 124 BPM, “Say We Want A Revolution” seems to intend to incite the crowd to start the insurgency right here, right now with its frenzied and provocative atmosphere.

Asked to describe his music to a new listener one might falter. While it's true that there is a very specific sound at the core of his music, it is the fluid nature of Deetron's work that defines him as an artist. Yet there is one word that can be used to sum up this dynamic musical mind and the polymorphic sounds that he has mastered - Maverick.

His second album "Music Over Matter", which was released on Music Man end of last year, finds Deetron in a unique, transitional phase. The vocal element of his music coming to the fore, with his 2nd album he proves that there is no substitute for substance and skill, putting music firmly back in the frame is the message, and how poignant to today's tumultuous industry.

For the new single 'Love Song', Deetron calls on the vocal talents of oddball techno superstar Seth Troxler. Steve Bug brings his Traffic Signs alias back to life for the remix, and adds an instrumental version too. Without a doubt an irresistible package for any DJ.

The 'Need Somebody' EP comes with with three original tracks and a remix of the title cut and we've got the premiere of Borrowed Identity's rework. Trust us when we say this is a golden slice of bumping house. The German-Romanian​ producer is another artist who can change his style depending on vibe and mood and his remix is the stand-out on the record.

The piano chords are lifted from the original and introduced early on with fierce stabs, while smooth vocal cuts glide over the top. The kick drums are heavy and spread liberally throughout and the melodies, well they're just damn beautiful. We've had this one on repeat.
