Live from Denver (2007)

Went travelling in USA for 3 months in 2007. Played a show at a student house party on Race Street where my hostel also was. Legendary times. Joe recorded the show. But I've lost touch with him and everyone who was there. If I had a time machine that's where I'd go. Was having the time of my life but of course, I couldn't appreciate it at the time as it was just my daily life and we always want what we don't have or can't get back.

Wrote this about Zack who I met at the hostel... he lost everything. Because I helped him out, he wanted to buy me a bunch of records at the music store. So we went shopping and after that drinking at the Grateful Dead bar where the bartender poured bourbon straight into my mouth from the bottle. You still out there somewhere bud? Miss ya

Man, one thing I regret is how bad I kept in touch with people I met on my travels. Back then social media wasn't what it was now. I didn't even have a phone or laptop when I was backpacking for 3 months. Just used internet cafes and stuff. 

When Radiohead released In Rainbows for free, I borrowed someone's laptop at the hostel to download it on my ipod. Amazing times but I was still miserable and hungover most of the time. 

Easy to love and romanticise memories in hindsight.
