After a string of special mix presentations for the holiday period and the commencement of the World Tour for another year, Markus Schulz returns to his signature 2 hour studio journey on the Global DJ Broadcast for the first time in 2025. This mix is dedicated to the people of the Greater Los Angeles area, and our prayers wishing strength towards them in the face of destructive wildfires continue. He signifies this by opening the show with his dedicated Dakota piece Avalon 6AM.

On the show, Markus presents two upcoming Coldharbour Recordings world premieres from KhoMha and JOA, along with showcasing new music from Paul Oakenfold & Hernan Cattaneo, Mike EFEX, Guy J, BLR, Victor Ruiz, Mark Sherry and more.

The annual Groove Cruise exploration from Miami to the Caribbean has arrived, and Markus Schulz will be heavily involved with a selection of sets throughout the duration. Prior to boarding, he checked in with a new edition of Global DJ Broadcast, and was in a position to world premiere his upcoming instrumental single piece, Enter the Portal. Markus was also joined by Coldharbour contributors ALAT for the guestmix, and included their own world premiere of their upcoming single, Lakes of the Dead.

When compiling the story of Markus Schulz's career, his connection with the people of Los Angeles, and particularly the legendary venue of Avalon in Hollywood, would require a book-long chapter. A venue in which his dedication to the open to close performance of the DJ art excels, he returned on Saturday February 1 for his latest adventure. A city and area reeling from the devastation caused by forest fires, his goal for the night carried an extra emotion as a result, aiming to provide those affected with a small sense of escape, at least for a little while. 

This set forms part of Markus' monthly Global DJ Broadcast World Tour series - providing a snapshot of his sounds in the liveset envrionment; spread across famed clubs and festivals around the globe. The next will take him to Soundcheck in Washington DC, where he will play on Valentine's Night, Friday February 14.
