Being German born, any show in the country for Markus Schulz feels like a homecoming of sorts. But the city of Berlin holds extra significance for him, as it has been his European base for many years while touring internationally; and has played a significant role in his musical influences and production. On Friday September 20 2024, Markus returned to Berlin for one of his signature open to close performances at The Cloud nightclub, and the highlights form the latest edition of the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour. 

The remaining World Tour recordings in 2024 are both high profile solo sets - firstly this Sunday, continuing a Canadian Thanksgiving tradition at Stereo in Montreal. And then the following Friday, October 18, Markus plays all night long at Melkweg for his annual Amsterdam Dance Event show. So if you are attending one of them, please bring your passion and voice for the world to hear.

Markus' contribution to In Search of Sunrise 20 is available to stream now, and forms part of the limited edition CD and vinyl box sets at the Magik Muzik shop.

Markus Schulz - Global DJ Broadcast World Tour: The Cloud, Berlin 2024

In a city which has played such an important role in dance music's history, Markus Schulz was privileged to continue his special affinity towards the annual Amsterdam Dance Event through his anticipated open to close solo set experience at Melkweg - a staging with a sold out attendance for an eighth successive outing. The World Tour features a 2 hour portion of highlights from the night for those who couldn't be there, and provides an opportunity for those who were to relive the magic again.

Markus' upcoming X single with William Schneider, Let Your Mind Be Free, will be available to stream from Friday November 15.

For the spring season, the aspect of vocal dance is laid into focus; reflected through the bond of music and words, where the vocalist is as important as the artist. Titled In Bloom to reflect the illumination of color as flowers blossom, the 2025 edition marks the ninth outing of this particular concept, and anticipation for its release grows with every passing year.

In Bloom is heavily influenced by pieces which have been appraised by Global DJ Broadcast listeners across the last 12 months, along with premieres to shape the remainder of 2025; and features a cast list of lyricists the community holds dear.

A deeply-considered reflection of vocal favorites, straddling the lines of trance, progressive and melodic techno, In Bloom 2025 is dedicated to dance music's wide community.

City of Drums Black Label is proud to present the second release from rising electronic producer Draku: the evocative and immersive “Dark Plantasia.” Blending deep melodic house, hypnotic techno grooves, and cinematic soundscapes, this release invites listeners into an otherworldly ecosystem—where darkness blooms and nature pulses with electronic life.
