Markus Schulz - Global DJ Broadcast World Tour: Ibiza 2022

Beginning summer with the emotional journey of the Sunrise Set, the midpoint is traditionally highlighted by our annual Coldharbour Day celebrations. It's a small way for our Coldharbour family to say thanks to everyone who supports the label, and those responsible for creating the tracks we cherish. 

This tradition is another passion project for me, with a four hour journey made especially for the occasion. It's a continual weave of current favorites, a few nods to the future, and opening up the Coldharbour archives; with the thrill of reliving, and sometimes even rediscovering beautiful melodies we may have forgotten.

The monthly World Tour returns to Global DJ Broadcast this week, and Markus Schulz ventures out of his Down the Rabbit Hole adventures for a special 5 hour In Search of Sunrise-themed performance, recorded live from the Luminosity at the Beach event that took place in Bloemendaal aan Zee, the Netherlands.

The monthly World Tour returns to Global DJ Broadcast, and features the latest outing of Markus Schulz's special Down the Rabbit Hole liveset experience. The mix emanates from one of the biggest trending venues in the United States in recent times, where he played from open to close at AREA15 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Included in the set is Markus' collaboration with Copini titled Atlas, featured on In Search of Sunrise 18, and receiving its full single release from Friday. 

The Down the Rabbit Hole experience has a massive weekend ahead - firstly at the Midway in San Francisco on Friday, before celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving late Sunday night into Monday morning at the cathedral of Stereo in Montreal.

For the first time in three years, Markus Schulz is delighted to return to Amsterdam for one of the most important weeks in the dance music calendar - the annual Amsterdam Dance Event. Resuming a popular tradition alongside his open to close solo set at Melkweg, he weaves a special 2 hour mix live and direct from the city; showcasing some of the biggest sounds that have emanated throughout the festivities, and includes the world premiere of his upcoming collaboration from the X series, working alongside KhoMha on Take Me.

In particular, I was so moved by the period between Christmas and New Year, when suddenly what day of the week it is didn't feel important, and this was reflected with all the stations playing classic songs.

My goal was to take this inspiration towards my own radio show, and the Classics Showcase has grown to become one of the most emotionally resonating and powerful episodes for fans each year, whether current, long-standing or lapsed. A time to reflect on those we have lost also, and we think of the Faithless family with Maxi Jazz no longer with us; it was only appropriate to pay tribute to his memory too.
