Being German born, any show in the country for Markus Schulz feels like a homecoming of sorts. But the city of Berlin holds extra significance for him, as it has been his European base for many years while touring internationally; and has played a significant role in his musical influences and production. On Friday September 20 2024, Markus returned to Berlin for one of his signature open to close performances at The Cloud nightclub, and the highlights form the latest edition of the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour. 

The remaining World Tour recordings in 2024 are both high profile solo sets - firstly this Sunday, continuing a Canadian Thanksgiving tradition at Stereo in Montreal. And then the following Friday, October 18, Markus plays all night long at Melkweg for his annual Amsterdam Dance Event show. So if you are attending one of them, please bring your passion and voice for the world to hear.

Markus' contribution to In Search of Sunrise 20 is available to stream now, and forms part of the limited edition CD and vinyl box sets at the Magik Muzik shop.

Now that we are into December, it's time to commence our annual year-end celebrations on Global DJ Broadcast; and Markus Schulz continues the opening tradition of his Year in Review perspective.

New Years Eve Set

Throughout the Global DJ Broadcast yearly offering, Markus Schulz offers the opportunity for listeners to experience his sounds in the liveset environment, across a range of club and festival events, through his World Tour series. One episode each month is dedicated to his live recordings, and the first for 2025 is one of his most cherished cities. 

Toronto hosts one of the best scenes and fanbases in the dance music industry, built on a legacy of historic clubs such as The Guvernment. Just before Christmas, Markus was asked to perform one of his signature open to close solo sets at a new venue for the first time, and highlights of his night at DPRTMNT are available for you.

Hope you have enjoyed all the special shows throughout the holiday season, and will download to keep them in your collection.
