Earlier this year, Dekmantel announced the signing of Robert Hood for a new project titled Paradygm Shift. Over the course of three different EPs, which will eventually evolve into an album, the Detroit but now Alabama based legend presents Paradygm Shift. Hood: "The idea behind Paradygm Shift is similar to a shift in our focus. We can become so complacent; we are so comfortable with our surroundings, I think this is the time for electronic music to find a new mindset."

Volume II serves up two more killer techno floor bombs by the never disappointing originator. 'Master Jack' is a classy and deadly effective cut that gets its strength from a simple, yet biting stack of funky chords, while pulsating bass lines and rattling hats are holding it together. More fast-paced action can be found on 'Magnet', a no-nonsense, minimalist stomper you can store in your peak-time section. Refined techno action times two, but what did you expect?

rus'me gets the remix treatment from Answer Code Request, Ben Sims & Pangaea. This is the first of two EPs featuring remixes of tracks from the Trus'me Planet 4 album. Answer Code Request takes Our Future into new territory with two outstanding mixes. Remix 1 moves things to a much more sinister & foreboding place. Tightening the feel & tension of the original with all the hallmarks of classic Berlin techno. Remix 2 winds up & coils the track into a searing workout of early 90's hardcore breakbeat. Ben Sims takes control of Ring Round Heart, pushing the tempo & creating a whole new urgency in the track. This is proper no nonsense heads down business & tight as you like. The mix builds excellently well & manages to produce an epic amount of feel and emotion, dropping in & out of the groove with a sneaky breakbeat & vocal dubs. Pangaea tackles one of the albums more esoteric tracks in The Unexplained. He manages to work a wonderfully intriguing steppers beat which drops from nowhere after the highly beguiling metronomic extended opening. The tracks are getting plenty of play & plaudits from likes of Ben UFO, DJ Deep, Bicep & Anthony Parasole.

MTM Records label boss Shinedoe joins Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects with a synth-driven techno release entitled ‘Feelings EP’.

Since her renowned debut release ‘Dillema’ back in 2004 on 100% Pure, the Amsterdam-based artist and Intacto Nights head Shinedoe continues her two decades of success with her latest release staying true to influences she takes from Detroit, Chicago and her local scene. Alongside 2000 and One, the co-owner of Intacto Records has built a notable catalogue of in-house releases in addition to her remixes on Cocoon, Bpitch Control and a collaboration with Jerome Sydenham on Ibadan Records. Amidst performing around the world and regularly at the likes of Berghain, Shelter and ://about blank, while also remixing esteemed artists such as The Knife, she now joins Matt Edwards’ iconic imprint with an enthralling analogue techno release.

‘Feelings’ opens on a 90s rave tip with arpeggiated synths, delayed hats, rolling snares and distant voices before ‘Roots Are Calling’ dives in as Shinedoe brings her African grooves back to techno with rattling percussion, reverbed plucks, enticing tom hits and saturated claps. On the flip ‘Nature Save Us’ bounces with mid-range bass, 909 like beat programming, whistling lasers and subtle strings until the ‘Beats Mix’ finalises with a rhythmically charged edit, featuring vocals from Shinedoe herself, pulsing with classic cymbals and sublime layered vocals.

I had the idea to start an own podcast series for quite a while now but I was a bit afraid to be honest. I wanted to keep it in a radio show format, as this is the format I grew up with and this was how I’ve discovered music. Also I wanted to do something different as I have a pretty wide range in music which I like. I get influenced by so many things so I thought it might be interesting for you to take this platform as the concept for a podcast. I will dig deeper and deeper through my collection of records and present it to you each month. It doesn’t matter how new or old the music is, it’s just about creating a good vibe to listen to, to enter another dimension.

Moreover the idea is also to invite guests, in irregular intervals - people I respect for what they are doing music wise and for the culture.

Music is able to lift you into other dimensions, so come with me through this portal and immerse into the depths of my record collection.
