Portal Episode 06 by Markus Suckut and Honorée

Jon Hester got his start in the midwest US, living in Chicago, Minneapolis, and connecting with Detroit. After years on the dance floor he took to the decks, going on to work in a record shop, host his own events, and hold residencies that developed his sound. Music production and a move to Berlin followed, but dancing and mixing are still the inspirations that drive him to create. His DJ sets are built on physical rhythms and adventurous programming, effortlessly combining diverse varieties of techno and house. With an engaging presence and a knack for telling a story, he builds a unique connection with each audience, and works any room until it sweats.

Also, Kajioka is known for his release "Never Ending" on Cocoon Recordings, as well as remixes for Truncate, Joel Mull, Elbee Bad, Alexander Kowalski, Heiko Laux, Tom Hades, Housemeister, Victor Calderone, DJ T-1000 and more. A distinguishing and striking aspect of his music is certainly the warm spheric and impulsive sound, which is constantly present in all of his productions. Ray's live and DJ-performance encompasses all the elements of today's modern Techno and House music, but has its feet firmly planted in the roots of the Detroit-vibe. Goodbye 2020. Last episode of 2020 is all about some relaxing tunes. My guest for the second hour of this month podcast is Orbe from Spain. He is an amazing techno producer and just put out his latest abum called Psy Visionary, which is for me an album not to be missed. A 4x12" box filled with so many good tunes, worth to check out! I had the idea to start an own podcast series for quite a while now but I was a bit afraid to be honest. I wanted to keep it in a radio show format, as this is the format I grew up with and this was how I’ve discovered music. Also I wanted to do something different as I have a pretty wide range in music which I like. I get influenced by so many things so I thought it might be interesting for you to take this platform as the concept for a podcast. I will dig deeper and deeper through my collection of records and present it to you each month. It doesn’t matter how new or old the music is, it’s just about creating a good vibe to listen to, to enter another dimension.

Moreover the idea is also to invite guests, in irregular intervals - people I respect for what they are doing music wise and for the culture.
