Zen polymath Sebastien Mullaert’s project Circle of Live marshals a raft of diverse global talents for ‘free-flowing collaborative jam sessions in clubs around the world’. This time round it brought together the Swedish musician himself, plus Spazio Disponibile gaffer Neel and the moody soundscapes of German techno-pundit VRIL as part of their ongoing collaboration. What’s clear for anyone following these three trajectories: the trio couldn’t be more perfectly aligned, their occult compositions are bound by a set of influences that border on the metaphysical. The music itself: meditative, deep, ruminant and transformative. Textured layer upon layer, these preternatural melodies and jerking beats are sublime astral audio from another dimension: Bassiani Podcast 170 is a freeform and mind-expanding journey through uncharted waters recorded live at the club back in December.

Born in 1980 and raised in the Detroit area, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement. His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood. His faith based music production has landed him a seat with FXHE in Detroit, with numerous EP’s and remixes on other labels like Planet-e, Rekids, Echocord, Kontra-Musik, Dolly, Finale Sessions, Ornaments, and Prime Numbers among others. His debut album was released in early May 2009 by Denmark based label Echocord. In 2010 he began his own interpretation of Detroit techno with his new Detroit project and record label - DeepLabs. His sophomore album “Keep On” was released on FXHE records in 2012 and received a Recommended 4.5/5 rating on Resident Advisor. With 15 years of DJ experience, he is regarded as a perfectionist behind the decks layering his tracks in a very detailed and hypnotic manner. Luke has played at many notable venues and festivals in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America including 10 separate appearances at the illustrious Berghain/Panoramabar in Berlin. Luke’s continued hard work in and out of the studio combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.

Bio:
Born in Dnipro, Alexander started his musical journey in the late 1990s and quickly made a name for himself under the moniker "Sunchase" with a series of successful releases in the drum & bass scene. He was featured on prominent imprints like Moving Shadow, Metalheadz, Hospital, and others.
After moving to Kyiv, Alexander expanded his musical repertoire and added new genres to his style, which deepened his sound while maintaining its cutting-edge quality. During this time, he founded the labels Kvadrat and 22:22, and became a founding member of Rhythm Büro, a techno initiative in Kyiv that brings together the genre's most innovative minds to various unique locations across the city.
Rhythm Büro has since become well-known both in Ukraine and internationally, not only as an event brand, but also as a musical imprint that features some of Alexander's works under the newly established alias "Na Nich".
As a sought-after techno and breakbeat producer, Alexander is now a highly accomplished mastering engineer with a solid portfolio of impressive releases and projects. His music has reached beyond dance floors and music collections, with some of his tracks appearing in games by Rockstar Games and Sony Computer Entertainment.
Today, Alexander focuses on his solo live sets, as well as live performances with his wife Vera Logdanidi, which range from techno to house. He has performed at venues such as Bassiani, Brave Factory, Natura, Closer, and others, and has been featured on Svreca's Semantica Records and Oblique Music NL.
Regardless of the genre, Alexander's music is characterized by his signature groove and engineering perfection, and he remains forward-thinking in his approach.

We are incredibly happy to share this recording with you courtesy of one of our ultimate favorites, Claudio PRC. This 5h techno marathon was recorded at beautiful Masada in Milano at the Acquario party in April this year. 

This is what Claudio said about the Acquario collective and his relationship with them: “For me, Acquario has always been one of the most awaited and exciting dates of the year. Over time with the team we have established a very strong relationship of love and respect and the location of Masada is a truly magical place considering the fact that it takes place during the day and the crowd is among the most warm-hearted and receptive in Italy. I had the idea to start an own podcast series for quite a while now but I was a bit afraid to be honest. I wanted to keep it in a radio show format, as this is the format I grew up with and this was how I’ve discovered music. Also I wanted to do something different as I have a pretty wide range in music which I like. I get influenced by so many things so I thought it might be interesting for you to take this platform as the concept for a podcast. I will dig deeper and deeper through my collection of records and present it to you each month. It doesn’t matter how new or old the music is, it’s just about creating a good vibe to listen to, to enter another dimension.

Moreover the idea is also to invite guests, in irregular intervals - people I respect for what they are doing music wise and for the culture.
