EDIT FEBRUARY 2017: I decided it was time for a new version. I've learned a lot of new mixing techniques since the first version was uploaded (March 2015) and I wanted to remake this track again. This time it's a lot closer to the original, but still without Dido. Fuck Dido. I put in a gentle whistle synth instead. Anyway... I made this for myself, but if you want to, the download is enabled.

A rework of my personal 'best track ever'. I dislike the Dido part though, so I decided to make my own version with just the rap parts.

I took some inspiration from other Eminem tracks like 'Lose Yourself', 'Like Toy Soldiers' and 'Mockingbird'.

Don't know the exact genre or style of this track, but it sounds fucking awesome imo!

Acid Regulation - Big Bang

Nothing fancy. Just something that I really love to do from time to time! I tried to be as authentic as possible. This means using one drum computer, (Roland TR-505 emulation/samples in this case) synths that can do things that synths did in that time I.E. not too many voices, detuning by offsetting pitch of two oscillators. Lots of filter envelopes, simple PWM synths with pitch modulation, plate reverb et cetera. The only thing that is 'modern' about it imo is the master compression. That's up to today's 'standards'.

While not being interested in listening to music all that much during his childhood, Mark van Rijswijk found passion in the creation of it during his teenage years. Born in The Netherlands, there were many successful artists to look up to e.g. Armin van Buuren, DJ Tiësto and Ferry Corsten. The latter in particular has given Mark quite the support during his musical career. Other famous names have played his music on their radio shows. Paul van Dyk, Orjan Nilsen, Markus Schulz and Cosmic Gate are just a few household names that have played his tracks. The core of Mark's music is to be original by trying to blend different styles together. This is what keeps it interesting, both from the creator's side, as well as the listener's side.
