Review:
Tom Tom's head honcho Richard Rossa is back, returning this time with two more examples of his ever-expanding taste. Again venturing further from the punk funk sound normally associated with the label "Sissy Disco" takes some vintage funk and loops it into rolling, brass embellished, funky house (or housey funk). "Lawani" meanwhile fuses Afrofunk with some cumbia rhythms for an altogether groovier affair.

A new tune by myself and Raj aka Ray Mang. The starting point for this was afrobeat, though the end point was somewhere completely different. That's the fun of being in the studio with a world full of samples and ideas. Unsigned. Anyone listening interested in signing it, get in touch.

Bobo is best remembered as one of the key players who fused influences from jazz, latin, soul, & rock in the late 1960's & 1970's, helping shape the evolving boogaloo style.
